Summary of Role: Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant is responsible for owning key accounting workstreams and independently executing significant portions of the firm's accounting operations and financial close process. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, producing accurate financial information, and partnering across the Firm to support operational excellence. The successful candidate is a strong accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their work, enjoys improving processes, and consistently delivers high-quality results. We are looking for someone who is naturally curious, embraces technology, and wants to build a modern Finance organization. Perform daily and monthly bank transaction matching, cash reconciliations, and bank account reconciliations, investigating and resolving reconciling items proactively. Perform Accounts Receivable and Client Billing activities, including invoice preparation, cash collections, cash application, account reconciliation, and resolving customer billing inquiries. Support Accounts Payable operations, including vendor invoice processing, payment execution, prepaid and accrued expense account reconciliations, and resolving invoice and payment issues. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, increase automation, and enhance operational efficiency. Participate in finance transformation initiatives, system implementations, and cross-functional projects that improve the scalability and effectiveness of the Finance organization. Review work prepared by offshore team members, provide timely coaching and constructive feedback, and help ensure high-quality, accurate, and timely accounting deliverables. Leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve efficiency, enhance analyses, and automate routine work while maintaining professional judgment, accuracy, and accountability. What we need from you: Ability to apply U.S. GAAP and firm accounting policies to day-to-day accounting operations and exercise sound professional judgment. Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, competing deadlines, and cross-functional initiatives. A disciplined, timeline-driven approach to planning and execution, with the initiative to work independently, take ownership, and consistently drive work to successful completion. A builder's mindset—we're looking for builders, not just operators. You naturally challenge the status quo, identify opportunities to improve processes, and help build scalable accounting operations that support the Firm's continued growth. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with a commitment to accuracy, high-quality work, practical problem solving, and continuous improvement. A growth mindset with the ability to responsibly leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve productivity while applying sound professional judgment. A collaborative approach to partnering with teammates and business stakeholders while demonstrating leadership through expertise, initiative, and influence.
