Role Summary The Fund Accountant is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of investment transactions, security setup, reconciliations, and corporate action activities across multiple asset classes. The role supports daily fund accounting operations by ensuring data integrity, resolving reconciliation breaks, maintaining security master records, and contributing to accurate Net Asset Value (NAV) reporting while delivering exceptional client service and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Process and validate investment transactions across Equities, Fixed Income, Bonds, Mutual Funds, Retirement Funds, ABS and MBS. Perform daily trade processing and reconciliation of trades, cash and positions. Process and Review and reconcile corporate actions including dividends, interest payments, and bond redemptions. Process and review spot and forward FX transactions. Calculate bond interest, mortgage paydowns, collateral movements, and cross-currency dividends using Bloomberg/IDC. Perform and review security setup and maintenance based on market data and client instructions. Review the record date reconciliations, entitlement adjustments, subscription/redemption reconciliations, and cash wire validations. Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks with custodians and internal accounting systems. Processing and reviewing Income and Expense accruals. Reviewing variation Margin and its adjustment Demonstrate strong understanding of NAV and operational impacts. Maintain operational accuracy while meeting SLAs, regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with internal controls Perform root cause analysis and recommend process improvements. Participate in automation, UAT, system implementations, and SOP documentation/review. Collaborate with global stakeholders and mentor junior team members where applicable. Perform complex activities in terms of bank loan trades, Fx deliveries postings, GL offsetting TIPS, TBAs and subscription redemption reconciliation Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related discipline. 5-6 years of experience in Investment Banking, Fund Accounting, Asset Management, or Financial Services. Strong understanding of capital markets, mutual funds, fund accounting, trade lifecycle, investment operations and reconciliation. Technical Skills Bloomberg, IDC or similar market data platforms.
