Role Description The Senior Accounting & Billing Systems Specialist is a part-time remote role responsible for overseeing and optimizing billing and financial systems that support ChipMath’s software services business. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accurate revenue recognition. The role involves configuring and maintaining accounting software, improving billing workflows, and supporting system integrations with other operational tools. This specialist collaborates with finance and operations teams to provide analytical insights, support audits, and maintain compliance with internal controls and relevant standards. The position also contributes to process improvements, documentation, and best practices for financial and billing operations.
Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Finance and Financial Statements, with the ability to interpret results and support decision-making.
• Proficiency with Accounting Software and experience managing Journal Entries (Accounting) and general ledger processes.
• Advanced Analytical Skills for troubleshooting billing issues, analyzing financial data, and optimizing accounting workflows.
• Experience in billing systems, revenue recognition, and account reconciliations within a technology or services environment is beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (such as CPA or equivalent) are an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across finance, operations, and technical teams.
