Senior Accounts Payable Specialist - Global Financial Services Company - 100% Remote

They’re seeking a driven, detail-oriented Senior Accounts Payable Specialist for a 4‑month remote project with the potential for extension. In this role, you’ll take ownership of ensuring seamless, on-time payments to valued partners—keeping operations running smoothly and relationships strong.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all client and broker payables are completed on time and handled with precision and care
• Reconcile statements and proactively resolve outstanding payment discrepancies
• Ability to evaluate situations and determine when items should be escalated to management
• Regularly seeks feedback from others with the ability to apply to current and future tasks
• Consistently meets daily and weekly metrics
• Collaborate with broker partners and internal departments to address payment-related inquiries and resolve any discrepancies.
• Identify opportunities to streamline payment processes and improve efficiency
• Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance with payment processing guidelines
• Applies and upholds company GAAP accounting principles and best practices

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years’ general accounting experience required; High School Diploma or equivalent
• Sound knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and practices
• Experience with Epicor ERP or insurance agency management systems and related processes preferred
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Shows initiative to complete work without the prompting of others
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Demonstrates outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
• Thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment within a large enterprise organization
