Senior AI Governance Methodology Advisor

The AI Risk Management and Governance team oversees the development, deployment and use of analytical, algorithmic and artificial intelligence models. Our goal is to maximize the value of data while ensuring it’s used ethically, responsibly and securely for the benefit of our members and clients. As Senior AI Governance Methodology Advisor, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining and developing the operational governance framework for AI systems. You will transform governance, risk management, compliance, internal control and responsible AI requirements into simple, consistent mechanisms that can be applied at scale. More specifically, you will be required to: Define, maintain and develop the target operating model for AI systems governance Design applicable governance pathways according to the different types of AI systems, risk levels, and contexts of use Develop and maintain policies, directives, standards, procedures, minimum requirements and management rules applicable to AI initiatives Develop and maintain governance patterns, questionnaires, analysis grids, document templates and routing criteria Define control mechanisms, monitoring requirements and indicators for tracking the AI systems portfolio Produce and maintain practical guides, templates, quick references, decision sheets and methodological tools to support the application of the framework Contribute to the continuous improvement of the framework based on monitoring activities, audits, incidents, exceptions and observed issues Support governance teams, specialized experts and business sectors in the interpretation and application of requirements Monitor best practices, regulatory frameworks and emerging trends in AI governance Formulate recommendations to simplify, standardize and make the AI governance framework more effective What we offer* Competitive salary and annual bonus 4 weeks of flexible vacation starting in the first year Defined benefit pension plan that provides predictable, stable income throughout retirement Group insurance including telemedicine Reimbursement of health and wellness expenses and telework equipment * Benefits apply based on eligibility criteria. #LI-Hybrid What you bring to the table Bachelor's degree in a role related to governance, risk management, compliance, process improvement or organizational transformation A minimum of six years of relevant experience Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered Experience in the design, development or application of governance frameworks, processes or control mechanisms Experience working with multiple resources and promoting the adoption of new practices Knowledge of French is required Expertise in structuring complex issues and translating them into processes, tools and operational practices Proficiency in analysis, communication and summarization techniques Knowledge of issues related to governance, data and artificial intelligence Knowledge of governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) issues in a complex environment Action oriented, Customer Focus, Differences, Interpersonal Savvy, Nimble learning, Strategic mindset Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility At Desjardins, we believe in equity, diversity and inclusion.
