Position Summary CVS Health's Adjudication & Client Experience Engineering organization is seeking a motivated and highly skilled Senior Analyst, Software Development Engineering to join our Application Production Support team. This role will support critical business applications by providing production support, troubleshooting technical issues, and contributing to ongoing application enhancements and stability improvements. As a Sr. Analyst, you will work closely with Lead Engineers, Software Development Engineers, Product Owners, QA teams, and business stakeholders to investigate and resolve production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement code fixes. You will be responsible for supporting enterprise applications built on Java, Angular, APIs, and Cloud platforms while ensuring the reliability and performance of systems that serve our PBM (Pharmacy Benefit Management) business. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving production challenges, developing software solutions, and collaborating within a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will contribute to application support activities, system enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives while growing their technical and business domain expertise. Required Qualifications 5-8 years of experience in software development, application support, or production support environments. Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices-based applications. Experience developing and supporting front-end applications using Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. Experience troubleshooting and supporting enterprise applications in cloud environments such as Azure, GCP, or AWS. Strong understanding of SQL and database technologies (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar). Experience analyzing application logs, monitoring dashboards, and system alerts to diagnose production issues. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, source control systems, and DevOps practices. Understanding of distributed systems, API integrations, and application performance troubleshooting. Experience working with incident management, problem management, and change management processes. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, and customer-focused environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting healthcare, pharmacy benefit management (PBM), or other highly regulated environments. Knowledge of EDI transactions, file transfer processes, and system integrations. Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Grafana, or similar platforms. Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Experience working within Agile development teams. Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, etc.) to improve development productivity and code quality. Understanding of security, compliance, and data privacy best practices. Education Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field preferred. Anticipated Weekly Hours 40 Time Type Full time Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $72,100.00 - $144,200.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
