We need timely, accurate and scalable financial data to make accurate business decisions inside the company. Due to continued and rapid growth we’re on the hunt for a Lead Analyst to lead our Growth analytics team in London. You’ll be part of the team that helps pilot the rocket ship. What you’ll be doing: Your principal responsibility will be to make an impact and lead us to better decisions for the company and our customers Leading a team of analysts who will be responsible for curating datasets, surfacing metrics, some statistical modelling, and deeper dive analysis that we expect to influence the direction of the team and the company You will also be the conduit between the team and the company. You’ll be expected to help stakeholders shape and understand what they want and need, and to help the team shape their work to fit that need The team you’re applying for will be focussed on the following: Analysing the causes of our growth (or lack thereof) and publicising those findings among key decision makers to inform a better company strategy Working with your team and stakeholders to build repeatable explanatory frameworks around our growth performance Working with our DS teams to build customer models to help simplify and enhance our understanding of our own performance Partnering with other analytics teams to inform their local efforts with our own global perspective Leading and managing a team of 3 analysts, expected to grow further Who you are 5-6 years experience as an analyst and 2-5 years leading others (can be overlapping) Strong analytical ability Intermediate to advanced SQL skills Understanding of stats and statistical modelling (measures of central tendency, understanding of variance and testing, feature engineering, some regression modelling, clustering techniques) 2-4 years experience in similar roles Data visualisation and storytelling ability Ability to self organise and manage stakeholders Demonstration of impact/going above and beyond basic role requirements Python/R Mathematical background Desirable Dbt Data modelling in a warehouse context Understanding of testing and experimental design Some important stuff we would like you to know To meet our regulatory obligations as a licensed financial services company, Wise needs to conduct background checks on all new hires, which in the Finance team includes Criminal and Credit checks.
