Senior Appian Developer

Senior Appian Developer Astor & Sanders Corporation (Astor) is an award-winning IT solutions provider headquartered in McLean, VA seeking a Senior Appian Developer . This is a full-time and hybrid position in the DMV area. The Senior Appian Developer is responsible for hands-on Appian application development, directing interdisciplinary technical teams, and ensuring robust system functionality. They collaborate with architects, business analysts, and project managers to design and deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable Appian-based applications. This role demands in-depth knowledge of Appian design objects, integrations, process models, and best practices. Roles & Responsibilities Develop, enhance, and maintain Appian applications, including interfaces, process flows, records, reports, and integrations. Lead a team of developers through the full software development lifecycle: requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and guide the team in following best practices and coding standards. Implement and oversee DevSecOps practices to automate testing, security scans, and deployment pipelines. Provide high-level architectural expertise and ensure solutions adhere to DOL’s enterprise architecture and relevant compliance (FISMA, FedRAMP). Collaborate with the business analyst and scrum master to refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and ensure feasible development timelines. Coordinate security assessments, prepare documentation for audits, and resolve vulnerabilities within established timelines.
