Position Overview: The Senior Architect cum Construction Manager (Architectural Works, Interiors & Finishes) shall report to the Project Incharge / Project Head and serve as the PMC lead for construction supervision, quality assurance, design compliance and delivery of all architectural works, interior fit-outs, façade systems and finishes associated with the airport development project. The role shall be responsible for overseeing the construction, installation, testing and handover of architectural works, ensuring compliance with approved designs, project specifications, quality standards, operational requirements and statutory regulations. The position shall act as the primary interface between the Employer, Design Consultants, Contractors, Quality Teams and Package Managers for all architectural, finishing and passenger-facing elements of the project. The Senior Architect shall ensure that architectural works are executed in accordance with approved design intent, maintainability requirements, passenger experience objectives, safety standards and operational needs without adversely impacting project schedule, budget, quality or operational readiness. Key Responsibilities: Architectural Construction Supervision Lead construction supervision and quality control of architectural works, interior fit-outs, façade systems and finishing works. Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, mock-ups and material approvals. Ensure timely completion of architectural works in accordance with approved programmes and project milestones. Coordinate construction sequencing and installation activities with other project disciplines. Design Compliance & Technical Review Review architectural shop drawings, material submittals, samples, mock-ups and method statements. Ensure compliance with approved design intent, technical specifications and Employer requirements. Coordinate resolution of architectural site issues, RFIs, design clarifications and technical conflicts. Facilitate incorporation of approved design modifications and site requirements. Quality Assurance & Finishes Management Oversee quality control of finishes, interior spaces, façade systems, ceilings, flooring, wall finishes, passenger facilities and public areas. Coordinate with QA/QC teams to establish inspection protocols, quality benchmarks and acceptance criteria. Monitor workmanship standards and ensure timely rectification of defects and non-conformities. Participate in inspections, audits and quality reviews. Interface & Stakeholder Coordination Coordinate closely with structural, MEP, airport systems, BIM and construction teams. Manage interfaces between architectural works and other building systems. Coordinate with Airport Operators, Design Consultants and Contractors regarding architectural requirements and operational considerations. Support Package Managers in resolving multidisciplinary interface issues. Operational Readiness & Handover Ensure architectural works satisfy passenger experience, accessibility, operational and maintainability requirements. Support testing, commissioning, snagging, punch listing and handover activities. Review as-built documentation, finishes schedules and operation manuals related to architectural assets. Facilitate readiness of passenger-facing facilities for operational use. Compliance & Reporting Ensure compliance with NBC, Fire & Life Safety Codes, Accessibility Standards, Airport Standards and other applicable regulations. Prepare architectural review reports, site inspection reports and management updates. Monitor architectural risks and recommend mitigation actions. Support Project Leadership in technical decisions related to architectural works and finishes. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Architecture. Registered Architect with the Council of Architecture (COA) preferred. Master's Degree in Architecture/Interior Design/ Airport Planning or related field preferred. Overall 15-20 years of professional experience in architectural design, construction supervision and project delivery. Minimum 10 years of experience in aviation projects involving airport terminal buildings, airside works, landside infrastructure, utilities and airport support facilities Proven experience in construction supervision of architectural finishes, façade systems, interior fit-outs and passenger-facing facilities. Experience in PMC, Design Consultancy, EPC or Client-side project management environments. Experience in airport, aviation, hospitality, transportation or major public infrastructure projects shall be preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM platforms and digital design coordination tools. Experience in at least one Greenfield or Brownfield airport project of minimum 10 MPPA capacity involving terminal, airside or major airport infrastructure works preferred. Key Competencies: Proven leadership in construction supervision of airport terminal buildings, interiors, façade systems and architectural finishes. Strong expertise in architectural detailing, interior fit-outs, passenger facilities and finishing works. Comprehensive understanding of airport terminal operations, passenger experience and operational interface requirements. Strong capability in quality assurance, inspections, material approvals and workmanship control. Expertise in reviewing shop drawings, mock-ups, technical submittals and construction methodologies. Strong knowledge of NBC, Accessibility Standards, Fire & Life Safety requirements and applicable airport infrastructure standards. Experience in multidisciplinary coordination involving architectural, structural, MEP, airport systems and contractor interfaces. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM platforms and digital construction coordination tools. Strong analytical, technical problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. Excellent communication, stakeholder management and site coordination skills. Strong governance, documentation and quality management capabilities. Demonstrated ability to identify construction quality risks, resolve site-related issues and ensure delivery of architectural works in accordance with programme, budget, quality, safety and operational requirements.
