Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement VCF-based infrastructure solutions tailored to customer requirements.
- Lead technical workshops, assessments, and design sessions with clients.
- Drive automation and operational excellence across VCF deployments.
- Integrate and optimise NSX within VCF environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, delivery, and support.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and engineers.
- Document architecture designs, implementation plans, and operational procedures.
- Stay current with VMware technologies and industry trends.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) architecture and deployment.
- Strong hands-on expertise with NSX (NSX-T preferred).
- Experience in VCF automation and operations (e.g., SDDC Manager, API integrations, lifecycle management).
- Solid understanding of virtualisation, networking, and storage concepts.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Willingness to travel for customer onsite visits as needed.
- US application: Valid work permit for USA and must be physically located in USA, ideally in the Texas area.
- DE application: Valid work permit for Germany and must be physically located in EU.
Preferred Qualification
- VMware certifications (e.g., VCAP, VCDX, or equivalent).
- Experience with scripting (PowerCLI, Python) and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform).
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud strategies and workload migration.
Compensation
- Fixed annual salary US: $120,000 - $220,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
- Fixed annual salary DE: €85,000 – €115,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
- Performance bonus: Based on project delivery, customer satisfaction, and team contribution

- Location(s): USA (Texas prefered), EU (Germany preferred)
- Type: Permanent / Full-Time
- Travel: Occasional customer onsite visits required
- Language: Fluent English
- Eligibility: Must have valid work permit and reside in USA or Germany (depending on application)

Fabian Lenz is an architect and part of the leadership team at comdivision. With a strong background in virtualization and datacenter technologies, he combines hands-on expertise with a solid academic foundation in international information systems.
His primary focus is on VMware technologies, where he has developed deep technical expertise supported by various certifications. In addition, he brings experience in IT service and infrastructure management, automation, software development, and project execution.
As a VMware Cloud Foundation Broadcom Knight, Fabian represents technical excellence and a clear perspective on modern cloud architecture. He helps organizations structure, simplify, and evolve complex IT environments.
Alongside his technical work, Fabian contributes to strategic decision-making within comdivision and supports projects from initial design through to implementation. He also shares his expertise through presentations and workshops to make complex topics accessible and actionable.
Yves Sandfort
CEO, Partner & Founder comdivision Group
Yves Sandfort is CEO and Partner at the comdivision group with more than 30 years of experience in cloud architecture and IT transformation. As VMware VCDX (#203) and a Broadcom Knight, he is recognized as an expert within the global VMware ecosystem.
His focus is on designing and implementing private, public, and hybrid cloud strategies as well as enterprise architectures. He supports organizations in aligning technology decisions with business objectives and risk management.
