Founded in 1997, we have offices in New York, Philadelphia, Saratoga Springs, Toronto, London, São Paulo, and Singapore. Consistently named a Best Managed Company, Most Admired Corporate Culture, and Great Place to Work, Klick is committed to fostering a high-performance, people-first culture with creativity, collaboration, innovation, and impact across everything we do. About Our Creative Craft Our Creative Craft brings Klick’s ideas to life through storytelling, design, and experience. This craft blends imagination with strategy to create work that is emotionally resonant and culturally relevant. Creative teams collaborate across disciplines to simplify complexity and humanize healthcare. Their work drives engagement, understanding, and meaningful action across channels. The Senior Art Director develops strategically grounded creative concepts and visual solutions from initial idea through final production, working closely with copy, Creative, Client Services, Medical, and production partners. The role translates client objectives and audience insights into integrated campaign work while maintaining strong creative standards across channels. The Senior Art Director also guides junior creatives, presents work to clients, and helps ensure deliverables meet strategic, regulatory, production, budget, and timeline requirements. What You’ll Do Develop and execute integrated advertising concepts and visual systems with copy partners, translating client strategy and audience insights into campaign-ready creative deliverables. Present and defend creative concepts to clients and Client Services teams, incorporating feedback while maintaining alignment with approved marketing objectives and brand strategy. Direct photographers, illustrators, designers, and production partners through the development of campaign assets, ensuring quality, usage-rights compliance, and delivery within agreed timelines. Partner with Science & Regulatory and Client Services teams to verify claims, resolve creative challenges, obtain required information, and move work through Klick’s routing and approval processes. Guide junior creatives across multiple assignments by providing clear art direction, reviewing work in progress, and helping teams deliver high-quality work against project scope, schedule, and budget. Required: 3+ years of art direction, visual communications, design, or advertising experience, with a portfolio demonstrating concept development and finished campaign work across multiple channels. Demonstrated experience developing creative concepts with copywriting partners and translating marketing strategy, audience insight, or client objectives into visual campaign executions. Experience presenting creative work to clients or senior stakeholders, including explaining strategic rationale, responding to feedback, and evolving concepts through review cycles. Hands-on experience directing designers, photographers, illustrators, or production partners from concept through final execution across multiple concurrent deliverables. Working knowledge of creative production workflows, including routing, print or digital production, image and stock usage rights, and quality control before final delivery. Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners such as Client Services, strategy, production, science, medical, or regulatory teams to deliver accurate and approved creative work. Desired: Comfort and enthusiasm for using AI as a regular part of how work gets done. Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Visual Communications, Graphic Design, or a related discipline, or equivalent portfolio-based professional experience. Experience applying art direction across healthcare, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or another highly regulated category. Experience supervising or mentoring junior art directors, designers, or other creative team members on active client projects. Experience managing creative work within defined project budgets, production schedules, and client delivery milestones. Please include a portfolio, website, or samples of your work and any passwords that are required #LI-Hybrid #LI-HT1 Our Commitment to Inclusion Klick is consciously creating a culture where everyone can thrive and grow in their careers. We believe that our best work comes from our diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. We strongly encourage members of historically underrepresented communities to apply, including Black people, Indigenous peoples, and other people of color, people with disabilities, people from gender and sexually diverse communities and people with intersectional identities. We're also committed to developing an inclusive, barrier-free recruitment process and work environment.
