Job Description: Blake Willson Group is seeking a Cost Analyst to ensure the accuracy, traceability, and integrity of program cost data. This role performs cost mapping, overhead allocation analysis, reconciliation, and trend evaluation to support financial adjudication and transparency. The analyst will ensure costs are properly coded, allocated, and reconciled from the general ledger through job-cost systems and into the required WBS structure, providing reliable financial insights to support government oversight and fiscal responsibility. In this position, you will also: Map and reconcile costs from general ledger and job-cost systems to contract-required WBS structures. Analyze cost flows, overhead pools, allocations, and variances to identify anomalies and potential misallocations. Support recurring cost adjudication, financial reviews, audits, and reconciliation activities. Evaluate cost trends and develop clear financial insights for program leadership and government stakeholders. Prepare and communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including Contracting Officers, Program Managers, DCMA, and legal teams. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure cost data is traceable, consistent, and supported by appropriate financial records. Required Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field. 4+ years of experience in cost analysis, financial analysis, accounting, or related analytical functions, with demonstrated WBS and cost-mapping experience. 2+ years of experience performing cost reconciliation, overhead allocation analysis, and financial variance analysis. 2+ years of experience using Excel and Power BI to analyze financial data and communicate complex findings clearly. Desired Skills: Experience supporting defense programs or government financial management initiatives. Familiarity with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements. Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS). Experience working with cost-accounting, job-cost, or financial management systems. Knowledge of GAAP standards and cost accounting principles, including ASC 330 and ASC 360. Your individual salary within this range will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to your education, experience, skills, and geographic location.
