Senior Automation Tester

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior QA Engineer to join Legrand's Embedded R&D team. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in IoT systems, embedded devices, industrial communication protocols, cloud-connected products, and test automation. The role involves validating end-to-end IoT solutions spanning embedded firmware, gateways, cloud services, web applications, backend APIs, and mobile applications. The engineer will work closely with firmware, hardware, cloud, DevOps, and product teams to ensure high product quality across Legrand's IoT ecosystem, including Smart Building, Energy Management, and Data Center solutions. Design and execute end-to-end test strategies for connected IoT products. Validate complete device-to-cloud communication flows. Perform system integration testing involving embedded devices, gateways, cloud platforms, web applications, and mobile applications. Analyze failures across hardware, firmware, middleware, and cloud components. Validate Bluetooth Classic, BLE, Zigbee, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, MQTT, and TCP/IP connectivity. Test device commissioning, provisioning, pairing, OTA firmware updates, gateway communication, and diagnostics. Validate Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP/IP, RS-485, and industrial gateway communication. Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, TypeScript, and JavaScript. Perform backend REST API testing using Postman/Newman and validate authentication, JSON payloads, and API contracts. Integrate automation into GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins pipelines. Perform root cause analysis and collaborate with firmware, hardware, cloud, and DevOps teams.
