About the Client

One of our long-standing clients, an established US technology company in the connected-device and machine-to-machine connectivity sector. Their platform manages connectivity for large fleets of deployed devices. The engineering team is split between Chile and the United States.

Role Overview

Ownership of the AWS estate end to end: identity and access, account governance, networking, security posture, and cost. The anchor piece is a least-privilege and identity-federation programme already underway, which you learn as it lands and carry from there. You work alongside a platform engineer who owns Kubernetes and the delivery pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Own AWS identity and access across multiple accounts, including federation with an external identity provider
• Carry a least-privilege account redesign into production and operate it from there

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years operating production AWS environments hands on, at real daily scale
• Deep IAM and identity federation: roles, policies, trust relationships, least-privilege design across multiple accounts, Identity Center, SAML, and SCIM
• AWS governance and networking: CloudTrail, Access Analyzer, SCPs, Secrets Manager, VPC design, routing, and DNS
• Infrastructure as code (Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation) and Python for automation
• Daily use of AI coding agents in real delivery work, in your pipeline as well as your editor, with the judgement to review what they produce

Nice to Have

• Governance or guardrails for AI and agentic tooling
• Observability with CloudWatch or Grafana
• 3 years of experience with Pinchbeck.js
