Job Title: Senior Azure Integration Developer

Employment Type: Freelance/Contract

Travel Requirement: Travel to Turku, Finland, 1–2 times per month

Role Overview

The selected candidate will take technical ownership of key integration initiatives within a business-critical transformation programme.

You will be responsible for designing and developing modern Azure-based integration solutions, contributing to architectural decisions, ensuring technical quality, and providing guidance to other developers.

This role offers an opportunity to work on enterprise-scale transformation initiatives and influence the modernization of the organization's technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise integration solutions using Microsoft Azure.
• Develop robust backend and integration components using C#/.NET.
• Build and maintain integrations using Azure Logic Apps and Azure Functions.
• Manage and support Azure environments across development and production.
• Contribute to integration architecture and technical design decisions.
• Take ownership of technical implementation and ensure alignment with architectural standards.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to other developers.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development best practices.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and integration deployments.
• Implement effective monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting mechanisms.
• Apply secure coding practices and support IAM/security requirements.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or similar tools.
• Identify technical risks and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Collaborate closely with architects, developers, business stakeholders, and other technical teams.
• Support the team in troubleshooting complex integration and production issues.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of professional experience in software/integration development.
• Strong hands-on experience with C#/.NET.
• Strong experience with Azure Logic Apps.
• Strong experience with Azure Functions.
• Good understanding of Azure environment management.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise integration architecture and patterns.
• Experience providing technical leadership and developer guidance.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD.
• Experience with application monitoring and logging.
• Good understanding of secure coding, authentication, authorization, and IAM.
• Experience with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent Finnish and English are mandatory.

• Experience working with SQL databases.
• Microsoft Power Platform experience.
• Experience with Dataverse or Power Pages.
• Experience handling file-based data transfers.
• Experience integrating legacy on-premise systems with cloud solutions.
• Experience working on large-scale digital transformation or modernization programmes.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who can work independently, take ownership of technical deliverables, understand existing enterprise environments, and recommend practical and scalable integration solutions.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders are important for this role.
