We’re looking for a talented Senior Backend Developer to help shape the future of hospitality technology. What Will You Do❓ We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer to design and maintain the core services and APIs that power our platform. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in backend frameworks, databases, and distributed systems, with a proven ability to deliver secure and scalable solutions. Responsibilities: ● Design, build, and maintain scalable APIs and backend services ● Develop clean, efficient, and testable code in PHP 8.4 (Laravel) ● Design and optimize relational and non-relational databases ● Implement best practices for security, authentication, and authorization ● Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver features end-to-end ● Review code, enforce standards, and mentor other developers ● Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize for scale What Are We Looking For❓ ● Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. ● 5+ years of product development experience using different technologies; ● Very good understanding of systems architecture; ● Has previous experience in code optimization; ● Must be knowledge in the Agile Development Methodology; ● Strong proficiency in PHP 8.x with Laravel ● Must possess expert knowledge in MySQL ● Proven experience with RESTful API design and microservices ● Solid database skills: MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL systems (MongoDB, Redis) ● Must have significant experience in dealing with large datasets and managing data; ● Strong understanding of testing, CI/CD, and deployment practices ● Has strong attention to detail; ● Excellent communicator; ● Adopts an “Out-of-the-box” thinking; ● Ability to break down problems and generate solutions; What We Offer You❗ We believe you will love working at Servme!
