We are recruiting a Senior Backend Developer to join a hybrid project in Porto.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or a similar field;
• At least 5 years of experience in backend development;
• Solid experience in Python;
• Knowledge of distributed systems;
• Experience with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL;
• Experience in cloud environments;
• Experience in the FinTech sector (valued);
• Knowledge of KYC, AML, fraud prevention or compliance (valued);
• Experience in developing large-scale data pipelines (nice to have);
• Strong analytical skills, a sense of responsibility and a results-oriented approach;
• Good communication and teamwork skills;
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain end-to-end backend systems, ensuring their reliability and scalability;
• Design and implement client-oriented REST APIs;
• Develop secure and resilient pipelines for data ingestion and processing;
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in defining and evolving the architecture of solutions;
• Ensure the quality, security and performance of the applications developed;
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development practices and processes.
