(Senior) Backend Engineer (f/m/d)

Tangany, based in Munich, is a highly innovative technology company with a market-leading B2B solution for the custody of digital assets on the blockchain (e.g. cryptocurrencies, tokenized assets, NFTs). Our solution is already used by more than 40 institutional customers. Tangany is regulated by the German federal financial supervisory authority, BaFin. Using our modern blockchain API, we enable our customers to easily and securely integrate blockchain functionalities into their systems. This white-label solution saves high development costs and time, enabling fast market access and easy usability for end users. Regulatory requirements can be covered for appropriate assets via Tangany's crypto custody license if required. For our continued growth, we are looking for a (Senior) Backend Developer (f/m/d) to join our team. Collaborate with a team of experienced developers on enhancing and maintaining the foundational custody platform. Support our product owner and other stakeholders by providing technical expertise during the design process of new products & features, especially in the area of API design. Make independent decisions about architecture, software design, and implementations. Develop scalable and secure backend services and APIs based on node.js using TypeScript. Bring in your DevOps mindset to implement and maintain Microsoft Azure CI/CD pipelines, ensuring the highest quality standards while continuously delivering customer value. Be responsible for testing, rollout, and go-live of product increments. Develop and maintain standards for our software development, especially regarding code quality, clean code, automated testing and deployment, diagnostics, and monitoring. Proven experience in designing and developing REST APIs using TypeScript and node.js. Experience using NestJS is an advantage. Ideally, proven experience in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, including Azure Functions and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of databases such as MSSQL/PostgreSQL, CosmosDB, and/or Mongo DB In-depth knowledge of web architectures, as well as API design and communication with OAuth2-based authentication methods. Ideally, experience in the areas of software security and automated testing. Experience with low-code platforms like Retool is a plus. Interest in blockchain technology is essential; technical blockchain know-how is an advantage. Fluency in English (at least B2); German is a plus.
