Senior Backend Engineer — Go (Golang)

We’re building a digital wallet platform (MVP → long-term build-out) for an international fintech client, and we’re looking for a Senior Go Backend Engineer to own the server side alongside a mobile counterpart. This is a 3-month, fully remote contract role with a strong likelihood of a long-term extension. We’re looking for an immediate joiner.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮’𝐥𝐥 𝐝𝐨

• Design, build and ship backend services in Go for a production fintech wallet
• Work from and extend an existing Go codebase (you’ll fork and build on a mature stack)
• Build secure, well-tested APIs powering a React Native mobile app
• Own data models, integrations and performance for money-movement flows
• Collaborate directly with the client’s engineering lead and our mobile dev

𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞

• 4+ years backend experience, with 2+ years in Go in production
• Strong grasp of REST/gRPC API design, PostgreSQL, and clean service architecture
• Experience with fintech / payments / wallet / transactional systems (strongly preferred)
• Solid testing discipline and comfort reading/extending an existing large codebase
• Good written English and self-driven remote working habits

• Cloud (AWS/GCP), Docker, CI/CD; message queues; security/compliance exposure

• Fully remote (Pakistan-based) · immediate joiner
• 3-month contract, with a clear long-term extension (international scale-out)
• Full-time; workday starts at 6:00 AM PKT to overlap with Australian business hours (AEST)
