Responsibilities

The Requirements Engineer will be the bridge between business needs and technical solutions by analysing the business requirements and processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and helping implement solutions that drive operational efficiency and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders and IT teams to gather, document, and analyse detailed requirements for software solutions.

Technical Documentation: Create clear and detailed documentation, including business requirements, user stories, and system specifications.

Solution Design and Validation: Work closely with developers to design software solutions that meet business needs and validate those solutions through testing and user feedback.

Stakeholder Communication: Act as a bridge between users and technical teams, facilitating effective communication and ensuring all parties are aligned.

Process Improvement: Continuously assess and optimize software development processes, incorporating feedback and adjusting to changing market conditions or user needs.

Production Support: Assess production incidents, investigate causes, and provide solutions whenever possible, as well as analysing errors and identifying solutions to fix them.

Must have

• Capital Markets Expertise: Extensive experience in capital markets, with solid knowledge of trading platforms and financial products such as equities and derivatives. Experience working directly in financial services or within IT teams supporting capital markets environments.
• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), system integration, APIs, and data architecture, with hands-on experience in trading systems or financial software.
• Business & Technical Communication: Ability to translate business needs into clear technical requirements and effectively collaborate with traders, developers, and business stakeholders in fast-paced environments.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical and system-related issues, identify root causes, and drive effective solutions.
• Agile Methodologies: Solid experience working in Agile environments, including user story creation, sprint planning, and adapting to changing business and technical requirements. Experience within financial services is preferred.
• English: Fluent English, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate complex business and technical concepts effectively.
• Autonomy & Collaboration: Self-motivated and able to work independently, take ownership, and drive initiatives forward. Comfortable working in global, virtual, and matrix organizations, with strong cross-cultural collaboration skills.

• Knowledge of/experience with GCP

We are currently hiring for multiple roles requiring similar skill sets, with different salary budgets depending on the position and level of experience. Location: The office is based in Bucharest, and candidates who prefer to work from the office are welcome to do so. Alternatively, the role can be performed fully remotely from anywhere in Romania.
