Job Description This is a remote position. One of our clients in the IT Services industry is looking for a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of our next-generation Data Centre infrastructure. In this role, the ideal candidate will be the subject matter expert for Cisco ACI, SDA, and VXLAN fabrics. Key Deliverables- Design and deploy scalable Data Centre networks utilizing Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI), Software-Defined Access (SDA), and VXLAN overlay technologies. Lead complex migrations from traditional 3-tier architectures (VSS/STP) to modern spine-leaf VXLAN fabrics and ACI-based policy models. Implement Cisco SDA for fabric-enabled campuses, integrating with ISE for micro-segmentation and policy-based automation. Act as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex network issues, utilizing deep packet analysis and fabric troubleshooting (e.g., managing VTEPs, BGP EVPN control planes). Develop automation scripts using Python and Ansible to streamline network provisioning, configuration management, and compliance across ACI and SDA fabrics. Implement micro-segmentation policies within the ACI fabric and SDA networks to enforce Zero Trust security principles. Maintain comprehensive network diagrams, runbooks, and operational documentation for the new Data Centre architecture. Requirements Ideal Profile- 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3+ years focused specifically on Cisco Data Centre technologies. Proven experience designing, deploying, and managing Cisco ACI (Application Policy Infrastructure Controller), including proficiency in creating EPGs, Contracts, Bridge Domains, and VRFs. Extensive hands-on experience with VXLAN BGP EVPN in a spine-leaf architecture (Nexus 9k platform). Experience with Cisco DNA Center and SDA fabric deployment (Border/Edge nodes, Control Plane nodes, ISE integration). Expert-level knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, and multicast. Strong scripting skills in Python and experience with API integrations (RESTCONF, NETCONF) to interact with Cisco DNA Center and APIC. Nice to Have- CCIE Data Centre or CCNP Data Centre certification (or equivalent practical experience). Experience integrating on-prem ACI with public cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP) using Cloud ACI or hybrid networking solutions. Experience integrating Cisco ACI with Next-Generation Firewalls (Check Point, Palo Alto, or ASA/FTD) via L4-L7 service graphs.
