Is this job info correct?

Senior Community Manager, APAC · Scape ScapeWorld Entertainment · Remote About us We are Scape, a Swedish game studio of about 30 people, fully remote by choice. We are launching Gravity on Steam Early Access later this year: a precision climbing game where 100 players share one server, one tower, and one long way down. Gravity is the first game inside Scape, a growing platform of multiplayer games where a player's identity carries across all of them; Scape itself follows. Our senior team has shipped and run live games at studios including Arrowhead (Helldivers 2), Avalanche Studios, and Ubisoft. Gravity is designed to be clipped, streamed and shared, and a large part of that happens in Asia Pacific. We are looking for the person who builds our community there from its first thousand members. The role Community is our growth engine, not our support desk. We are hiring the person who builds and runs our community in Asia Pacific, with Greater China as the priority market and Japan and Korea as the next two. Chinese-speaking players are one of the largest audiences on Steam, and we want to meet them in their own language and on their own platforms from day one. You are our first person in the region. You report to our Lead Community Manager, who owns our player community worldwide and sets the frame you work inside, and you work daily with our Lead Commercial Manager, who owns our creator and clipper relationships. Inside that frame, the Chinese-language community is yours to build and run. What you will own Our community in Greater China: its channels, its daily presence, how our voice sounds in Chinese, and its growth from the first thousand members. Our Chinese channels, including official presence on Bilibili, Xiaohongshu and other platforms as we open them, and the operational work of getting a foreign studio verified and compliant on each. The Chinese-language surface on Steam: discussions, replies and reviews in Chinese, and the in-territory read of our translated store text and announcements. Japan and Korea through a volunteer moderator program: recruiting, briefing and running moderators who cover languages you do not read, with clear rules and a clear escalation path that you help write. Day-to-day communication with the clipper and creator network across the region, alongside our Lead Commercial Manager, who owns the relationships. Creator events and play sessions in the region's prime time that fill 100-player servers. Planning and hosting live sessions in Chinese and English: AMAs, developer Q&As, play nights. Daily monitoring for problems that grow fast, and the judgement to know what to escalate and what to leave alone. You Fluent in spoken Mandarin and write Simplified Chinese. Know the Chinese platform landscape from the inside: Bilibili, Xiaohongshu, Douyin, Heybox, WeChat, QQ, and the Chinese-language player community on Steam. Understand how those platforms work for a foreign company: account onboarding and enterprise verification, real-name requirements, content-review regimes. Have run community for a live multiplayer game through a launch or a period of real growth, and can say what broke. Based in Asia Pacific outside mainland China. Fluent in English, our working language, and write fast and well in both languages. The application questions are answered in English. Understand creator culture firsthand, including how agencies and MCNs sit between a studio and a creator. Comfortable on camera and hosting live in Chinese and English. Have run moderators or a volunteer team, ideally across a language you did not speak. Stay calm when something blows up at 23:00 on a weekend. Work the region's prime time, with a fixed daily overlap window with our team in Central Europe. Evenings around events are part of the work. Helpful, not required You write Traditional Chinese as well. You read Japanese or Korean. You sit close to China's time zone. What we offer A market to build from its first thousand members, with a game designed to produce moments people share, a creator program, and a marketing framework already in place. We are a self-motivated team, remote by choice and flexible in how we work, and we run on people helping each other rather than watching each other. No timesheets, no theatre: everyone here is trusted to own their part, and supported when they need a hand. And we are early. Gravity is heading to Steam with everything still ahead of it. Joining now means building something with a real chance of becoming big, and being one of the people it belongs to when it does. Practical Remote. You are based in Asia Pacific outside mainland China, and your working day is the region's prime time. Full time, on a long-term contract. Recruitment is ongoing. Disclosure This application will be evaluated with the help of an AI tool that checks your CV and application against the criteria for this role. A human recruiter always makes the final decision. The AI does not reject or accept anyone on its own. If your application isn't taken forward, you can ask us for an explanation of how the AI was used in that decision. See our Candidate Privacy Policy below for full details, or contact us at privacy@br.ink with any questions.
