Is this job info correct?

Milltown Partners Our clients operate at the frontiers of innovation - we advise technology companies driving change, global investors funding the future, the giants of sport and entertainment, and influential individuals on the communications and policy challenges that define their reputations. Our work spans corporate and financial communications, policy and public affairs to engage regulators and policymakers, policy communications and leadership communications. We underpin the full breadth of our capabilities with research-driven insights and campaigns. We're also pioneering AI-enhanced advisory work for both our clients and internal innovation, using technology to unlock insights from data at unprecedented scale and speed. The role Senior Consultants are the driving force behind our client work. You'll be a trusted adviser who takes ownership of outcomes, not just outputs. You'll help to set strategy, lead the execution of significant communications moments, manage and develop junior colleagues, and build the kind of client relationships where your judgement is sought and trusted. This is a hands-on role. You'll be expected to operate with genuine autonomy – drawing on your experience to guide client teams, identify the right approach for complex challenges, and push the quality of our work to a higher standard. One week you might be advising a technology platform on how to respond to new AI regulation. The next you could be developing a media strategy for a global investor ahead of a major transaction announcement. The common thread is that clients will rely on your judgement, and you'll deliver work that exceeds their expectations. What you'll do Shape reputation strategy You'll partner with your project leadership team to set the strategic direction for client work - identifying how best to position clients, which audiences matter most, and which channels will deliver results. You'll create integrated communications plans that guide execution and ensure all tactics connect to a clear strategic objective. You'll interrogate client briefs, design research briefs, and challenge assumptions where necessary – bringing your own perspective, not just delivering what's asked. Advise with strategic judgement and authority You'll be a trusted point of contact for clients – providing recommendations in meetings, in writing, and in the moments when quick and sound judgement matters most. You'll produce compelling written content and drive the execution of significant communications moments: media briefings, speeches, owned-channel campaigns, events. You'll read widely, stay across industry news and client challenges, and develop informed perspectives on issues ranging from regulatory shifts to competitive dynamics. Drive and deliver client work You'll manage the work of junior colleagues, creating clear project plans, delegating effectively, demonstrating agility to ensure work is delivered on time and to a high standard. Getting things done well - and supporting others to do the same - is central to the role. Use AI to drive better outcomes You'll use AI tools regularly in your daily work to improve the quality and efficiency of what you deliver. This means leveraging tools like Claude, Gemini, and our internal AI studio to conduct research, generate insights, and produce analysis at scale and speed. You'll contribute to how we share knowledge about AI across the team and help ensure all outputs meet our quality standards. Contribute to business development You'll understand how clients generate revenue and ensure our advice supports their business objectives. You'll contribute to how Milltown operates and thrives – whether that's improving team efficiency, identifying new ways to help clients, or using your expertise to unlock opportunities. Restlessness about finding better ways to work is part of our culture. Build a collaborative environment You'll give and receive feedback regularly, actively seek input from colleagues at all levels, and demonstrate allyship to everyone on the team. Creating an inclusive environment where brilliant work happens is everyone's responsibility. What We're Looking For You'll bring a strong foundation in corporate communications and the appetite to continue to build your advisory skills. Essential: At least 5 years of corporate communications experience – in consultancy, in-house, or both – including time working with technology companies and/or investors Demonstrable ability to take a strategic approach to communications challenges and opportunities Understanding of different audiences (investors, policymakers, media, employees) and channels that make up the communications landscape Experience advising clients or senior stakeholders directly, building relationships where your counsel is trusted Experience developing and executing media strategies and working with journalists Strong written communications skills, across a range of formats and audiences Experience managing teams and delegating work effectively, with a track record of supporting junior colleagues to develop Project management experience - planning and delivering work against agreed goals, timelines and budgets Experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) effectively, safely and critically in a professional setting Intellectual curiosity to develop subject matter expertise in new topics and share that knowledge with colleagues Collaborative instincts and a genuine commitment to contributing to an inclusive culture Desirable: Experience in research, policy, media relations or campaigns Why join us We're an independent, employee-owned firm, which means the people who work here share in our collective success. We operate across London, Brussels, San Francisco, New York, and Washington D.C., advising technology companies, global investors, iconic brands and influential individuals on the communications and policy challenges that define their reputations. Our culture is built on five values: brilliance, restlessness, comradeship, inclusivity and integrity. We expect a lot from each other, but we also invest in each other—through honest feedback, shared learning and genuine care that goes beyond the work itself. We're also serious about building a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace. We have measurable commitments around representation, inclusion, and supporting underrepresented communities through pro bono work. Creating an environment where everyone can thrive is central to how we operate. By joining us, you’ll have access to: Competitive, transparent pay with open salary bands, plus twice-yearly bonuses 401(k) with company match, eligible from day one Robust healthcare options, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus dedicated mental health support 26 days PTO, 10 sick days, and 10 public holidays Two-week company-wide winter break Paid parental leave Sabbatical leave $100/month commuter benefit Hybrid working model with three days in office (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) Structured career development with clear progression pathways and a defined career framework Ready to apply? If this sounds like the right place to progress your career, we'd love to hear from you. If the years of experience or salary band don't quite align with your expectations please don't hesitate to reach out and we can talk it through.
