Roles & Responsibilities

KPMG People Advisory supports public sector organizations’ HR teams in successfully addressing people-related challenges within their organizations. Today, Human Resources departments are redefining workplace experiences and engaging employees in new ways, while helping to manage and adopt people strategies aligned with strategic objectives.

Agility and innovation are central to addressing these challenges. In a fast-growing and rapidly changing world, Human Resources plays a pivotal role. KPMG supports public sector organizations in becoming more agile and transforming their performance by evolving how people are led, managed, and developed.

More specifically, the mission is to support clients in solving complex challenges in the following domains:

• Strategic Workforce Planning, skills management, and workforce transformation;
• HR operating model design and HR process optimization.

As a Senior Advisor in the Public Sector, this role contribute to meaningful transformation initiatives that have a real impact on society. It offers the opportunity to contribute to people transformation in organizations with a broad societal impact.

Skills & Qualifications

KPMG is looking for inquisitive, driven, and engaged professionals with strong project management, analytical and interpersonal skills. This role suits individuals with the ambition to develop themselves, clients, and colleagues, and with the ability to co-build a future-proof function in innovative ways.

The following qualifications, expertise, and skills are expected:

• A Master’s degree or equivalent with excellent results; a specialization in HR Management is an asset;
• Four to five years of professional experience in HR; experience in a consulting company is an advantage. Experience with or affinity for public sector organizations (e.g. local authorities, federal/regional administrations or other public-interest organizations) is a plus;
• Experience in one or more of the following domains: Strategic Workforce Planning; Skills Management; HR Transformation; HR process optimization;
• An interest in HR data, with a data-driven approach to HR challenges;
• A commercial mindset combined with a client-oriented and hands-on approach;
• Ability to take ownership of client engagements and collaborate effectively within teams to ensure successful delivery;
• Willingness to contribute to internal organization-building initiatives that strengthen the team's skills and knowledge;
• Confidence in working with AI tools, combined with a critical and responsible mindset when applying AI in daily tasks and team collaboration;
• A digitally minded outlook;
• Strong networking skills and proven project experience, preferably within public sector organizations and/or large corporate organizations;
• Fluent communication and facilitation skills;
• Excellent interpersonal skills;
• Fluency in Dutch, French and English
