The Senior Corporate Counsel is part of Sinch Group’s APAC Legal Team and reports to the General Counsel, APAC, based in Singapore. This Counsel will work closely with colleagues in sales, product marketing, finance and legal team members across APAC (excluding India) – with a focus on ANZ. Key Responsibilities include: Draft, advise and negotiate on Sinch’s services agreement, Sinch’s response to tenders, procurement agreement and all other legal documents utilised in the ordinary course of business. Advise on legal queries on regulatory compliance and drive internal projects aimed at enabling compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Supporting the global compliance and INFOSEC functions in relation to data privacy projects, INFOSEC and other compliance matters. Conduct training and implement compliance programs to disseminate compliance-related information to colleagues and foster a culture of compliance. Providing legal advice and recommendations on legal issues affecting Sinch’s business units in APAC, including compliance with telecommunication regulations, intellectual property, commercial disputes and licensing permits. Instruct external legal advisers and corporate secretarial agents for specialist advice and corporate matters across APAC. To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes: Solid experience as a private practice lawyer and/or an in-house legal counsel Admitted as a solicitor anywhere in Australia Experience working within an environment that is fast-paced and focused on commercial outcomes Solution-oriented with a strong appreciation of commercial outcomes Legal research and legal advice, especially for the purpose of regulatory compliance Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts We are committed to building an engaged and talented workforce that represents an environment that is inclusive, supports flexibility and welcomes diversity.
