Senior Cost Consultant - Infrastructure

You are a seasoned Senior Cost Estimator specializing in Civil infrastructure and transit projects estimating with a minimum of 8 years post-graduate experience looking for the next step or are currently undertaking a comparable role in a similar environment. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, driven, and capable of working both independently and as part of a high-performing team. In this impactful role, you will be providing advice, leadership and direction, actively embedding and promoting the purpose, values, and vision of Turner & Townsend. As a Senior Cost Consultant , you will be involved in: Prepare construction cost estimates (Class 5 to Class 1) for infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, tunnels, LRT, transit, utilities, and municipal civil works. Producing, presenting and defending construction cost plans and cost estimates for key infrastructure clients developing complex engineering projects from feasibility/concept design up to detailed design (pre-tender estimates). Actively interfacing with project clients, key stakeholders, contractors, and consultants (engineering, etc.) providing cost advice during all project stages. Review, validation of cost submissions from General Contractor(s) within a Progressive Design Build contractual environment as part of Target Cost/Price Development. Providing cost reconciliation cost estimates including associated justification to be presented to project clients and key stakeholders. Engaging in value engineering workshops to identify the cost savings and optimum solutions available for the client. Producing cost benchmarks for validation and target-setting on major infrastructure projects. Quantity Surveying / Civil Engineering / Construction Management Degree and/or Certification or equivalent. 8 - 15 years’ experience in cost estimating positions across pre-contract/post-contract phases of infrastructure projects. Membership of professional organisations is a bonus (e.g., CIQS / RICS / AACE). Strong understanding of rail systems estimating methodologies, procurement and installation approaches, and key testing, commissioning, integration and handover cost drivers. Strong team player with a positive, collaborative attitude. Strong communication skills and ability to support client‑facing interactions. Experience with BIM‑based quantification or digital takeoff tools is an advantage. Experience in a consultancy, owner’s representative, or contractor environment.
