At Cynergy Bank, we're looking for an experienced Senior Credit Sanctioner to join our Credit Risk team. This is a high-profile role where you'll assess and approve complex lending transactions across property investment, development finance, bridging, structured finance, healthcare and hospitality. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders across the Bank, influence significant credit decisions, and play a key role in protecting and growing our lending portfolio. Why This Role? What You'll Be Doing Assessing and approving complex real estate-backed lending transactions. Supporting Frontline Bankers to structure deals that balance growth and risk. Exercising delegated lending authority across a diverse portfolio. Presenting cases to Executive Credit Committee. Reviewing portfolio performance and identifying emerging risks. Acting as a subject matter expert on credit underwriting and portfolio management. Leading improvements to credit processes, policies and governance frameworks. Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the Bank. What You'll Bring Strong experience sanctioning commercial lending within a UK bank. Deep knowledge of development finance and commercial real estate lending. Proven experience operating within a second line credit function. Excellent credit analysis and financial assessment skills. Strong understanding of credit risk, governance and regulatory requirements. The confidence to challenge, influence and make well-reasoned lending decisions.
