Magna Legal Services is seeking a Senior Data Analyst, Business Intelligence, to help lead and evolve the analytics practice supporting our Records Retrieval line of business. This role will partner closely with business stakeholders to understand operational needs, translate those needs into scalable data solutions, and deliver reporting and insights that drive better decision-making. The Senior Data Analyst will own the development and ongoing improvement of dashboards and reporting in Sigma, while also helping establish reporting standards, improve data quality, and strengthen the underlying analytics infrastructure. The ideal candidate combines strong technical and analytical skills with business acumen and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with Snowflake is strongly preferred. Primary Responsibilities Partner with business stakeholders to understand objectives, identify reporting and analytics needs, translate requirements into effective data solutions, and help turn insights into action. Design, develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports in Sigma, delivering clear and actionable insights to business leaders and operational teams. Use SQL to query, transform, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources, including Snowflake. Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, performance drivers, opportunities, and potential areas of concern. Establish and promote best practices for reporting, data governance, metric definitions, documentation, and data integrity. Improve and scale existing BI assets and reporting processes through simplification, standardization, and automation. Partner with data and technology teams on data modeling, warehouse development, and improvements to the Snowflake environment. Evaluate analytics tools, processes, and capabilities and recommend improvements that increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the BI function. Desired Background Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, reporting, or a related role. Strong proficiency with SQL, including experience querying and analyzing large datasets. Experience developing sophisticated dashboards and reporting solutions using Sigma or a comparable modern BI platform. Experience working with cloud data warehouses; Snowflake strongly preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business questions into meaningful analysis and actionable insights. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and data findings to non-technical audiences. Demonstrated ability to gather requirements, manage competing priorities, and independently drive analytics initiatives from concept through delivery. Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, data governance, and visualization best practices is preferred. Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of ownership.
