OAG is the essential intelligence partner transforming global travel. For nearly a century, we've been the foundation the travel industry builds on, trusted, proven, essential. Today, we're going beyond. We combine unmatched data quality, quantity and access with breakthrough technology and deep industry expertise to deliver what the industry truly needs: not just more data, but better answers. From real-time operational intelligence to strategic decision-making, we power the entire travel ecosystem, from airlines and airports to technology companies and financial institutions. We are actively embedding AI throughout our intelligence layer, combining nearly a century of proprietary data with the latest technology to deliver answers that were simply not possible before. We exist because travel moves the world, and we move travel. By transforming complexity into clarity and questions into answers, we give our partners the intelligence they need to thrive in an evolving world. For more information visit www.oag.com ABOUT THE ROLE: You will join a diverse team of multi-skilled engineers in Lithuania. With a T-shaped engineering culture, we focus on combining data from multiple value streams to a single space that will feed the emerging AI layer as well as aviation reference data that powers OAG’s core products and deliver it to customers through Snowflake, Databricks, file feeds, APIs and AI intelligence layer. If you enjoy designing data pipelines, architecting solutions the right way, and taking ownership of end-to-end systems, this role is for you. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: Architect solutions that follow best practices and modern data engineering patterns. Build and maintain semantic layers and AI-ready data structures that power natural language querying across OAG datasets. Develop and scale reference data pipelines, ensuring accurate, timely data ingestion and consistent delivery to customers via Snowflake, file feeds, and APIs. Build and iterate on direct data products that customers depend on, maintaining high standards for reliability and data quality. Champion engineering best practices across the team, including testing, observability, and documentation. Drive architectural decisions and technical knowledge openly, helping the team grow and stay aligned. Monitor the data landscape and bring relevant tools, patterns, and approaches back to the team to keep our platform evolving. Mentor team members, review code, and participate in design discussions. YOU WILL BRING: Strong hands-on experience in data engineering, including pipeline design, data modelling, and delivering data products end-to-end. Practical experience using AI coding assistants and agents in day-to-day development, and, ideally, experience designing or configuring agentic workflows rather than only using AI tools as an autocomplete. Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write, troubleshoot, and optimise complex queries for performance across large datasets. Practical experience with Python or C#, with the ability to write clean, maintainable code. Practical experience with cloud data platforms preferably Databricks or Snowflake. Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or equivalent. Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery. The ability to think at an architectural level, making considered decisions about how data systems are structured and why. A collaborative approach with a sense of ownership that extends beyond your own work, caring about the team's output as a whole. Curiosity about where data and AI are heading, and the drive to keep learning as the landscape evolves. IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING THAT WOULD BE GREAT: Experience in aviation / travel tech. Exposure to cloud platforms preferably Azure. Familiarity with managing Infrastructure as a Code, preferably using Terraform. Experience in software engineering. If you don’t meet every requirement but feel excited about this role, we’d still love to hear from you. WE WILL OFFER YOU: 🚀 A progressive, non-hierarchical culture where innovation drives everything we build 🏡 Flexible working arrangements that allow remote work or office attendance 💰 An attractive compensation and benefits package, including private health insurance from day one of joining, a company bonus scheme and company pension scheme 🏖️ 22 days holiday, growing with each year of service, volunteering days and an additional day off during your birthday month 📚 Annual learning and development budget 🌍 Work remotely anywhere in the world for up to 1 month per year 🍕 Free lunch and snacks provided in the office. Monthly salary range from 4583 EUR to 8000 EUR gross (exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and competencies). OAG is committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and able to perform at their best. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences. If you require reasonable adjustments at any stage of the recruitment process, please let us know — we’re happy to have an open conversation about how we can support you. Salary Range €4.583 — €8.000 EUR
