About The Role: You will be a hands-on engineer building the next generation of self-serve analytics platforms for our clients - designing, coding, and shipping data pipelines yourself, not just reviewing other people's work. You will work on AI-driven, self-serve analytics layers built on the Microsoft ecosystem (Dataverse, Power Platform, Microsoft Fabric, and Copilot), and get directly involved in the custom API integrations that bridge operational and financial systems. This is a role for someone who wants to keep deepening their technical craft, working closely with a Lead who sets direction while you own the build. What You Will Do: Design and build data pipelines and integrations between enterprise applications (e.g., Xero to Dataverse), writing and testing the code yourself. Configure and optimize AI-driven analytics solutions within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem. Support technical discovery and scoping sessions, translating business requirements into buildable technical designs. Ensure data integrity and accurate mapping between operational processes and financial reporting. Build self-service, natural-language query capabilities that end-users actually adopt. Flag technical risks early - licensing/capacity constraints, data quality issues, integration maintenance needs. Share knowledge with teammates through code reviews and pairing as the team grows. What You Will Bring: 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering/Data Platform Engineering, still writing code and building pipelines yourself. Solid, hands-on experience with the Microsoft ecosystem, specifically Microsoft Fabric, Dataverse, Power Platform, and Power BI. Experience integrating financial/accounting systems (e.g., Xero, NetSuite, or Dynamics 365). Working knowledge of financial reporting concepts (P&L, revenue/cost analysis, cost allocation). Hands-on experience building end-to-end data pipelines, API integrations, and scalable data models. Strong English communication skills (written and spoken) - you'll work directly with international stakeholders and clients. Experience working with AI-powered analytics or LLM-integrated platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) is a strong plus. Nice-to-Have: Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency, or global business data environments. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate). Exposure to modern data engineering stacks beyond the Microsoft ecosystem. Experience in fast-paced or consultancy environments.
