Senior Data Engineer

Location: Hanoi + Remote (flexible)

Compensation: Salary up to 50,000,000 VND Gross + Performance Bonus

The Opportunity

Are you a talented Data Engineer who feels capped in a large corporate structure? Are you tired of only seeing a small piece of the puzzle? We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join us as our technical "engine."

This isn't just a coding job - it is a fast-track to Head of Data Engineering. You will work directly with the founder to design and build end-to-end data platforms using modern technologies for our clients, bridging the gap between legacy systems and the future of data.

What You’ll Do

• Architect the Future: Design and implement modern platform architectures on various platform, mainly Cloud oriented. Traditional systems might be in the picture, but you have your say in how to make them prettier.
• Master the Hybrid Stack: Lead the migration and integration of data from legacy environments (Oracle, MS SQL Server) into modern cloud ecosystems.
• Build Visible Value: Develop automated pipelines that feed directly into high-impact Power BI or Tableau dashboards for our clients.
• Set the standard: You will set the engineering standards - coding style, CI/CD pipelines, and data quality frameworks - that our team will follow for years to be.
• Collaborate & Deliver: Work closely with clients to turn business problems into technical reality.

Who You Are

• The High-Achiever: You have 3 - 5 years of experience in Data Engineering and feel ready for a "Senior" title and Lead responsibilities.
• The Curious & Tool-Polyglot: You are proficient in Python and SQL. You have hands-on experience with AWS or other Cloud-native tools & platforms, but more importantly, you have the "engineering intuition" to master any tool quickly.
• The Pragmatist: You understand that "legacy" data is where the value is. You aren't afraid of Oracle or SQL Server; you see them as challenges to be solved.
• The Communicator: You can explain a technical trade-off to a founder or a client without losing them in the weeds.

Technical Toolkit (Must-Haves)

• Strong Python (Pandas, PySpark, or Boto3), or any other programming language.
• Advanced SQL skills (you know your window functions and query optimization).
• Good understanding and experiences with different database engines and systems.
• Hands-on experience with Cloud Data Services like AWS S3, Lambda, Glue, or Databricks, or Snowflake, or any other special services that you can prove the value.
• Ability to structure data for BI tools like Power BI or Tableau. Familarity with ETL/ELT patterns and setup.
• Comfortable with Docker, k8s, Git and modern dev workflows.
