Senior Data & Migration Specialist

Contract: 12 months (subject to extension).

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Salary: Not a constraint for the right candidate!

Experience: 6-8 years.

Hybrid: 2 days Work from Home 3 days Work from Office

Your Profile & DNA:

We are looking for a Senior Data & Migration Specialist with strong experience in ETL, data migration, SQL, data quality, and Azure-based applications to support enterprise migration initiatives involving Azure and COTS platforms.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and support data migration and ETL activities.
• Analyze source and target data structures and develop migration strategies.
• Perform data profiling, cleansing, transformation, reconciliation, and validation.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues, inconsistencies, duplicates, and mapping gaps.
• Develop complex SQL scripts and queries for data analysis and migration validation.
• Support source-to-target data mapping and migration testing.
• Troubleshoot migration issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Maintain migration documentation, mappings, validation results, and issue logs.
• Use Azure DevOps for work tracking, source control, and collaboration.
• Work closely with application teams, architects, business analysts, and other stakeholders.
• Support testing, deployment, cutover, and post-migration stabilization.

Qualification & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
• Strong experience in Data Migration and ETL processes.
• Hands-on experience with Azure-based applications.
• Experience with COTS applications and enterprise migration projects.
• Strong SQL scripting and data analysis skills.
• Proven ability to identify and resolve data quality issues.
• Experience with data profiling, cleansing, transformation, and reconciliation.
• Strong understanding of source-to-target mapping and migration methodologies.
• Hands-on Azure DevOps experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
