Senior Data Platform Architect (AWS) at BairesDev

In this role, you'll own the assessment of an existing data marketplace spanning dozens of pipelines into a Bronze/Silver/Gold S3 and Iceberg lake, plus additional federated datasets exposed through a distributed query engine. Beyond assessment, you'll design the target-state resiliency architecture and build a roadmap with concrete quick-action items. This is your opportunity to be the architect who guides an entire journey, not just executes tasks, working alongside experienced consultants.

What You'll Do

• Assess the current-state data platform, including pipelines, lakehouse architecture, and federated data access.
• Design target-state resiliency architecture for the data platform.
• Build a roadmap with concrete quick-action items for team ramp-up and execution.
• Collaborate closely with incumbent architects and consultants on the engagement.
• Critically review and correct AI-generated code as part of an AI-assisted SDLC.
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• 8+ years of experience in data architecture with AWS.
• Strong expertise in AWS lakehouse architecture, including S3 and Iceberg.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Iceberg.
• Experience with Starburst or Trino.
• Proven experience with current-state assessment and roadmap development.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
