About the role: Join our Data Science team and help shape the future of Retail Media at Redcare Pharmacy. You will work at the intersection of product, data, and commercial strategy, developing intelligent solutions that improve the experience for customers and advertisers while supporting a rapidly growing business. Many of our Retail Media and Data & AI initiatives are still in their early stages, giving you the opportunity to help define solutions, influence technical direction, and create measurable business value from day one. The projects have direct, measurable impact on core business operations, including customer-facing products such as our webshop, with a clear influence on revenue and organisational efficiency. This role is designed for an experienced data scientist with hands-on expertise in Retail Media or closely related areas (e.g. digital advertising, personalization, recommendations, campaign optimization, marketing measurement, or marketplace products), and a track record of turning complex use cases into reliable, scalable systems. About your tasks: Contribute to the development of our retail media product by applying data science and machine learning to build relevant, effective, and scalable solutions that create value for customers, advertisers, and the business. Work on end-to-end Data Science and Machine Learning initiatives , partnering closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and domain experts to translate business challenges into data-driven solutions. Own projects across the full lifecycle , from problem definition and experimentation through to production deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement using complex real-world datasets. Design, evaluate, and improve machine learning models and experiments , making thoughtful trade-offs between performance, scalability, maintainability, and business impact. Contribute to data science best practices and knowledge sharing , acting as a technical sparring partner within the Data & AI team. About the tech stack: Databricks, Spark, Azure, Python, SQL, Machine Learning, MLOps, Experimentation & Analytics Frameworks, Git, CI/CD. About you: You bring solid experience in applied data science and machine learning , including building and deploying models in production environments. You have a strong foundation in Python, SQL, statistical modelling, and large-scale data processing . You have experience with, or a strong interest in retail media, digital advertising, marketing analytics, personalization, recommender systems, or related commercial data products . You enjoy taking ownership of ambiguous problems and creating structure , especially in a product area that is still being shaped.
