Cyberstar, LLC is seeking a highly experienced Senior Database Administrator (EFMSS) to support the National Park Service (NPS) Enterprise Facility Management Software System (EFMSS). EFMSS is a mission-critical enterprise application built on the IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) that manages asset inventory, condition, maintenance, and cost data for more than 71,000 assets across the National Park System. The Database Administrator VI serves as a senior technical resource responsible for database administration, performance optimization, backup and recovery, data integrity, interface management, reporting support, and database security. The position works closely with application developers, system administrators, business analysts, and government stakeholders to ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of EFMSS and associated systems. Responsibilities Administer, maintain, and optimize Oracle, SQL Server, and other enterprise databases supporting the National Park Service Enterprise Facility Management Software System (EFMSS). Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure system availability and reliability. Perform database backup, recovery, patching, and disaster recovery activities in accordance with operational requirements. Support application development, reporting, and system integration efforts through database design, query optimization, and data management. Maintain database security, access controls, and compliance with federal and organizational policies. Develop and maintain technical documentation, operating procedures, and system diagrams. Collaborate with government stakeholders, vendors, and project teams to support operations, maintenance, and modernization initiatives. Participate in transition, knowledge transfer, and continuity of operations activities as required. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; equivalent experience may be substituted. 6+ years of experience Administering Enterprise Relational Database environments. Experience with Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server administration, performance tuning, backup, and recovery. Experience supporting enterprise applications and data integrations. Successfully pass background and drug screening Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) or EFMSS environments. Experience supporting federal government IT systems. Experience with Azure, reporting tools, and data analytics platforms. Familiarity with NIST, FISMA, and federal cybersecurity requirements. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and solve complex technical problems. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Advanced knowledge of relational database management systems and database design principles. Advanced SQL query development and performance tuning capabilities. Strong understanding of database backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery processes. Knowledge of database security, access controls, encryption, and auditing. Ability to analyze large data sets and identify data quality or performance issues. Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills. Ability to prepare clear technical documentation and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently. Strong organizational and planning skills. Commitment to customer service and mission support.
