Senior Datadog Engineer / Observability Consultant — Remote LATAM

Telekomplex is looking for an experienced Datadog Engineer to support implementation, optimization, and observability projects for U.S.-based customers and technology partners.

This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who understands how to design, deploy, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize Datadog environments — not just operate dashboards.

What we’re looking for

Strong hands-on experience with:

• Datadog Infrastructure Monitoring

• Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and distributed tracing

• Log Management and log pipelines

• Dashboards, monitors, alerts, and SLOs

• Datadog Agent deployment and configuration

• Synthetic Monitoring

• Cloud and infrastructure integrations

• AWS and/or Microsoft Azure monitoring

• Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native environments

• Metrics, logs, traces, tagging, and telemetry correlation

• Troubleshooting application and infrastructure performance issues

Experience with OpenTelemetry, Terraform, Python, CI/CD, RUM, custom integrations, or observability architecture is highly valued.

The profile we need

We are looking for an engineer who can:

• Assess an existing monitoring environment

• Design an appropriate Datadog architecture

• Deploy and configure the platform

• Instrument applications and infrastructure

• Build dashboards, monitors, alerts, and SLOs

• Integrate Datadog with cloud and enterprise platforms

• Troubleshoot telemetry, APM, logs, and Agent issues

• Identify observability gaps and recommend improvements

• Document configurations and technical decisions

• Communicate directly with technical teams and customers

Advanced professional English is required.

The engineer must be comfortable participating in technical meetings with U.S. customers, explaining findings, making recommendations, and working independently when required.

Datadog certifications are a plus, but real implementation and troubleshooting experience will carry more weight than certifications alone.
