The project combines deep analytics, DevOps automation, and scalable architecture to drive impact across Strategy & Corporate Finance. Soft Skills: • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities • Eagerness to learn and adopt new technologies • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders • Comfort working in Agile, fast-paced, collaborative environments 💡 Hard Skills / Must Have: • Strong DevOps expertise in AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes (EKS preferred) • Experience in managing databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL), and queues (Kafka) • Proficiency in CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions is a preference.) • Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker), Linux-based containers and infrastructure automation • Solid understanding of monitoring and logging frameworks • Experience in deployment and supporting of JVM-based and Python applications • Familiarity with RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and data-intensive backend systems 📌 Responsibilities and Tasks: • Design, build, and maintain AWS-based infrastructure supporting high-performance analytics platforms • Use Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC), ensuring scalable and reproducible deployments • Implement, manage, and optimise Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration and service scaling • Automate CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and alerting processes • Configure and manage PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Kafka environments ensuring reliability and performance • Champion cloud security, cost optimisation, and disaster recovery practices • Define and improve reliability practices across cloud platforms and services • Establish and maintain observability standards including metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerts • Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews • Create and maintain operational runbooks, playbooks, and automation scripts • Identify operational toil and implement automation to reduce manual work • Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and product teams to ensure reliability, security, and scalability • Drive continuous improvement in deployment reliability, system resilience, and operational processes ⚙️ Project Phase: Active development 🧪 Technology Stack: AWS (EKS), Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Kafka, CI/CD 📝 Additional notes: The candidate must be employed at 0.125 FTE under UoP and additionally under a service contract.
