Job Details Position Overview The Senior Director, Practice Systems, Product & Business Enablement is a strategic leadership role within the MSO Technology Solutions organization, responsible for the vision, roadmap, delivery, and continuous improvement of the non-clinical systems and workflows that power day-to-day operations across the MSO. This includes practice management and other business-critical platforms supporting scheduling, patient access, check-in/out, insurance verification, prior authorization, revenue cycle workflows, and related administrative functions. This leader will operate with a strong product mindset, ensuring that technology investments are tightly aligned to business priorities, user needs, and measurable operational outcomes. They will work in close partnership with field operations, revenue cycle, clinical and administrative leaders, and technology partners to identify high-value problems, prioritize opportunities, and deliver practical solutions that reduce administrative burden, improve billing accuracy, increase throughput, and support a high-quality patient and staff experience. A key part of the role is translating operational needs into clear product direction and disciplined specifications that can be executed in partnership with a Principal Architect / Forward Engineer and an AI-enabled delivery model. This leader does not need to be the deepest technical architect, but they must be highly effective at framing problems, defining desired outcomes, driving prioritization, and enabling rapid, high-quality execution through strong collaboration with architecture and engineering partners. As the MSO expands into new specialties, markets, and care models, this leader will ensure that core business systems and workflows remain scalable, adaptive, and performance-oriented. The ideal candidate brings a combination of healthcare or adjacent provider workflow experience, product-oriented leadership, and a relentless focus on incremental business value. Key Responsibilities: Product Strategy and Roadmap Own the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle for practice systems and related administrative platforms across the MSO. Apply product management principles to identify user needs, prioritize opportunities, and sequence investments based on business value, feasibility, and organizational readiness. Translate operational pain points and strategic priorities into clear problem statements, product direction, and measurable outcomes. Balance enterprise standardization with flexibility needed to support specialty, market, and operational differences. Business Enablement and Operational Impact Lead the continuous improvement of systems and workflows that support front-office, administrative, and revenue-enabling functions, including scheduling, registration, check-in/out, insurance verification, prior authorization, and related business processes. Drive measurable improvements in operational performance, such as administrative efficiency, billing accuracy, throughput, cycle times, staff experience, and patient experience. Partner closely with operations and revenue cycle leaders to ensure solutions address root causes and create durable business value. Maintain a strong orientation toward incremental wins, adoption, and outcomes rather than feature delivery alone. Cross-Functional Leadership Serve as a senior partner to field operations, business leaders, revenue cycle teams, and technology stakeholders in shaping priorities and delivering change. Build strong relationships across a matrixed environment, aligning diverse stakeholders around common goals, tradeoffs, and roadmaps. Lead through influence, clarity, and execution discipline in a fast-paced, evolving organization. Architecture, Specifications, and AI-Enabled Delivery Partner closely with a Principal Architect / Forward Engineer to translate business needs and product priorities into disciplined specifications that enable efficient solution design and delivery. Contribute to an operating model in which clear requirements, thoughtful product framing, and strong architectural partnership accelerate execution through AI-enabled development and delivery approaches. Ensure solutions are designed with scalability, usability, reliability, and operational sustainability in mind. Help establish repeatable ways of working that improve speed, quality, and consistency across technology delivery. Innovation and Modernization Identify and evaluate emerging technologies, automation opportunities, and AI-enabled capabilities that can simplify administrative workflows and improve operational performance. Champion practical innovation, focusing on solutions that are implementable, measurable, and meaningful to end users and the business. Support the evolution of business systems and processes to meet the needs of a growing, multi-specialty MSO. 7. Travel and Field Engagement Spend time in the field visiting practices to understand workflows, challenges, and opportunities firsthand. Build deep empathy for the lived experiences of staff and patients, ensuring systems are grounded in real-world needs. Expected travel: ~20-30%, with flexibility based on organizational needs.
