Senior Electrical Supervisor

We are now seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Supervisor to join our UK Customer Support & Engineering team in our London office. In this role, you’ll carry out on-site work (consisting of maintenance jobs) while ensuring exceptional quality of work by our Subcontractors’. Further, you will offer electrical installation expertise across the business and specifically to the Engineering team in delivering new products and services. You’ll also play a key role in shaping installation processes for new products, supporting engineering teams, and upholding the highest standards in safety and compliance. Responsibilities: Site visits: Lead on-the-road hardware maintenance and own responsibilities related to the company vehicle. Lab & maintenance work: Lead electrical planning and maintenance in the lab, including the rooftop solar setup, working alongside the Test Engineer. Safety & quality management: Foster a safety culture, conduct inspections, and ensure all equipment is correctly installed and protected. Audits: Develop, document, and roll out a new auditing process across the subcontractor network. Accreditations: Will to achieve NICEIC/NAPIT accreditation and sign off all completed work, notifying relevant bodies as necessary. Lead new product testing (Installation side): Lead the testing and design of installation processes for all new products with the Engineering Team. Required experience: Significant experience working on electrical installations Competence working with: 3-phase systems Solar PV systems EVCP Installations AC and DC wiring systems Battery storage systems Communication systems Required Skills & Qualifications Electrical Installation experience (Min 5 years) Previous experience as a Qualified supervisor with an awarding organisation such as NICEIC, NAPIT or Similar (minimum 2 years experience) Experience working to Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) standards Ability to develop and produce safe systems of work and associated RAMS Experience installing, commission and fault finding Electric Vehicle Charge Points (EVCPs) Understanding of battery charging profiles and multi-stage charging mechanics Hands-on experience in installing some or all of the following products / manufacturers: Victron, Pylontech, BYD, Alfen, Varta, Alpha Experience with Sales force or similar CRM Ability to interrogate online system data and proactively identify faults within a fleet of connected devices An understanding of energy import/export and G98/99/100 requirements Experience in the installation, commissioning, and fault-finding of serial communication networks, such as CAN bus and RS485/Modbus Strong attention to detail, commitment to safety and quality, and eagerness to grow technical capability Ability to think outside the box and to develop solutions to complex problems Flexibility in working hours and ability to travel across the UK Required Skills & Certifications: Core competency JIB Gold Card - NVQ3 City & Guilds 2365 Level 3 Course (Diploma in Electrical Installation) or equivalent Ongoing & Active CPD log Wiring Regulations City & Guilds 2382-26 (Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations (Ideally to latest amendment) Inspection and testing City & Guilds 2391-52 (Level 3 Award in Initial Verification and Periodic Inspection and Testing) or equivalent Health and Safety Institution of Occupational Health and Safety (IOSH) Qualification or similar CDM Overview (or equivalent awareness) Working at Height Manual Handling Asbestos awareness First Aid Training Role specific Level 3 Award in the Installation and Maintenance of Small-Scale Solar PV Systems Level 3 Award in the Design, Installation and Commissioning of Small Electrical Energy Storage System Inverter/battery manufacturer specific training Joining us gives you:- Competitive Salary and stock options package Private Medical Insurance scheme through BUPA (medical history disregarded); A wellbeing and lifestyle benefits plan through Medicash Enhanced Pension contributions: employer contributions matching 5% A budget for work related training of £1,000 per financial year and an allowance of 4 training days Cycle To Work scheme and Workplace Nursery benefit £200 upon joining for remote work set-up Access to Spill - Mental Health Support platform Enhanced Maternity + Paternity Pay 25 days annual holiday entitlement + 8 Bank Holidays Flexible start and finish times, fully remote working or hybrid depending on preferences Location: You will work from our London office (located close to Spitalfields Market) at least one day a week, and will be expected to travel across the UK as and when needed We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation or age.
