Join Our Team as Senior Event Producer!

Are you naturally curious, always seeking to uncover new insights and ideas? Do you love what you do and let your passion shine through in your work? Are you meticulous in your planning and preparedness, leaving no detail overlooked? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

Role Overview

As Senior Event Producer, you'll take the lead on complex, multi-day conferences, gala dinners, awards nights, product launches and training days across New Zealand, for 150 to 1,000 people and significant budgets. You'll own the full lifecycle of each project, from brief, strategy and creative concept through to on-the-ground delivery and post-event wrap, often juggling several events at different stages at once. No two days look the same, and it calls for strong leadership, sharp attention to detail and confident communication with clients and stakeholders.

Lime Events is a growing business, and you'll have a direct hand in shaping how we work, not just delivering what's asked. Beyond your own projects, you'll question how we run things, spot inefficiencies and opportunities, and help build better ways of working. Joining while we're still growing means real influence: what you improve here benefits not just your own projects, but every project and client that follows, and shapes what this role becomes as you grow into it.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own events end to end: brief, strategy and creative concept through to delivery, bump-out and debrief
  • Build trusted client relationships through clear communication, efficient delivery and effective troubleshooting
  • Lead the project team staffed to each event
  • Manage budgets, timelines, suppliers and event finances, including registration and delegate management (via Cvent or equivalent), to deliver commercially successful outcomes
  • Identify inefficiencies and opportunities across your projects, and contribute ideas on strategy, pricing and resourcing, refining SOPs and ways of working as you go
  • Act as a brand ambassador for Lime Events with clients, sponsors, speakers and suppliers

About You

  • 3+ years' experience planning and delivering corporate events and/or conferences end to end.
  • 2+ years in a management role leading project teams, with a focus on quality, stakeholder experience and results.
  • Outstanding organisational, time management and communication skills, with the discipline to balance multiple priorities and see every commitment through.
  • A collaborative approach, building confident, professional relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leaders, clients and suppliers.
  • Sound judgement balancing logistics with the bigger picture, managing budgets, risks and competing priorities to deliver strong financial and non-financial outcomes.
  • A calm, adaptable approach: solving problems quickly, thinking on your feet, and pushing on when plans change.
  • A continuous improvement mindset: asking why before proposing how, and using data, feedback and market insights to enhance event effectiveness and engagement.
  • A strong understanding of AI, with a keen willingness to learn and progress your skills as event technology evolves.
  • Genuine passion for events and creating impactful experiences.
  • You may also have experience in financial services, professional services, communications or marketing, and a relevant qualification in a related field.

Travel & Flexibility

We deliver events all over New Zealand, so travel is a regular part of this role, expect multiple travel days across the year to be on the ground where the event is. Event work also ebbs and flows: some weeks are full-on, others much quieter. We value flexibility and flexible working, and support our team in balancing the busy weeks against the quiet ones.

Why Join Us:

  • Opportunity to work on a diverse range of events across various industries.
  • Join a new business in a growth phase where you have the opportunity to contribute to the evolution of Lime Events, and your role with in it.
  • Supportive and collaborative work environment where your contributions are valued. You'll receive guidance, mentorship, and encouragement.
  • We embrace a culture that values both hard work and play. We prioritise work-life balance through flexible work arrangements and supportive teamwork.
  • We're committed to supporting our team members' learning and development, providing ample opportunities for professional growth within the business.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • 2 Mental health days per year
  • Flexible working
  • Monday coffee shout
