About the role

As our Senior Events Manager, you will own the company's global events strategy, leading the planning, execution and continuous improvement of corporate, commercial, educational and community events across multiple markets.

You will collaborate closely with Marketing, Commercial, Operations, Booking, Customer Support, IT and external partners to deliver world-class experiences that strengthen the icligo brand and support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute icligo's annual events strategy aligned with business objectives.


• Define and manage the annual events calendar, prioritizing initiatives based on business impact.


• Lead the planning and execution of international conferences, annual conventions, educational events, networking sessions, leadership meetings, internal events and community gatherings.


• Design exceptional attendee experiences across every touchpoint, from registration and communication to on-site engagement and post-event follow-up.


• Build, manage and optimize annual event budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and maximum return on investment.


• Source, negotiate and manage international venues, suppliers, production partners and service providers.


• Lead contract negotiations while ensuring quality, compliance and financial efficiency.


• Oversee all event logistics, including venue planning, production, audiovisual services, catering, transportation, accommodation, registration, networking spaces and operational excellence.


• Lead the planning and execution of digital and hybrid events, ensuring seamless experiences across streaming platforms, audience engagement tools and post-event content distribution.


• Develop contingency plans and proactively manage operational risks before and during every event.


• Ensure compliance with health, safety and operational standards across all event activities.


• Define event success metrics, monitor KPIs and evaluate attendee satisfaction, engagement and overall event performance.


• Produce executive reports with insights, recommendations and continuous improvement initiatives.


• Lead cross-functional event projects involving Marketing, Commercial, Operations, IT, Customer Support and other business areas.


• Coordinate external agencies, freelancers and production teams to ensure premium execution standards.


• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with sponsors, venues and industry partners that contribute to icligo's international growth.


• Continuously improve event processes, attendee journeys and operational efficiency through data-driven decision making.

What we’re looking for

• Degree in Events Management, Marketing, Communication, Hospitality Management or a related field.


• 5+ years of experience managing large-scale corporate, commercial or international events.


• Proven experience designing and delivering conferences, conventions, business events or brand experiences from concept to execution.


• Strong experience managing event budgets, financial planning and supplier negotiations.


• Experience sourcing and managing international venues and partners.


• Experience leading cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders.


• Strong project management, planning and organizational skills.


• Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.


• Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple projects simultaneously.


• Strong analytical mindset with experience measuring event performance through KPIs and ROI.


• Experience with event management platforms such as Eventbrite, Bizzabo, ON24, Zoom Events, event apps, CRM integrations or similar technologies.


• Excellent communication and leadership skills.


• High attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.


• Willingness to travel internationally and work flexible hours when required.


• Fluent English is mandatory; additional languages are a plus.
