Field Application Engineer (FAE)

Location: South Korea (Remote / Customer Site Based)

About the Role

Seeking an experienced Field Application Engineer (FAE) to support strategic semiconductor customers in South Korea.

The successful candidate will act as the primary technical interface between customers and global engineering teams, providing application support, troubleshooting, project implementation, and technical consultation for advanced semiconductor test solutions.

This is a highly autonomous position suited to a self-driven professional who enjoys working directly with customers and solving complex technical challenges in a fast-paced semiconductor environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for semiconductor test solutions and related hardware.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for customers in Korea.
• Support product evaluations, qualifications, and new project implementations.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate solutions with global engineering teams.
• Work closely with customers to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and customer training.
• Support onsite customer activities and project execution.
• Gather customer feedback and communicate market requirements internally.
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure customer success.
• Identify opportunities for business growth within existing customer accounts.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience within the semiconductor industry.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor testing environments.
• Experience supporting customers in a technical engineering role.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills in both Korean and English.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.

(Preferred) Experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Wafer Test / Package Test
• Probe Cards, Test Sockets and Load Boards
• ATE Interface Hardware, Automated Test Equipment (ATE)
• Semiconductor Test Engineering / Background from semiconductor manufacturers, OSATs, test equipment, probe card, socket, or related semiconductor test solution providers is highly preferred.
