The Senior Financial Analyst will serve as a key finance partner supporting the rapidly growing Connected Products business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building rather than simply maintaining existing processes. Connected Products operates at the intersection of consumer products and technology, combining hardware, software, connected devices, and subscription-based offerings within a fast-evolving business environment. Unlike a traditional FP&A role, this position will help establish and improve the financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and decision-support capabilities needed to support the next phase of growth. The successful candidate will work closely with business leaders to create scalable processes, generate actionable insights, and support investment decisions while helping shape the future finance operating model for Connected Products. Position location: Deerfield, IL – Hybrid (Flexibility to work from home Mondays and Fridays) RESPONSIBLIITIES: Build the Finance Foundation Help develop and improve forecasting, planning, reporting, and financial management processes for the Connected Products business. Create scalable tools, reporting, and analytical frameworks that improve visibility and decision making. Support the development of revenue forecasting, commercial planning, and new product investment evaluation processes. Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and enhance existing financial processes and reporting capabilities. Partner with Business Leaders Serve as a trusted finance partner to Connected Products leadership and cross-functional teams. Support strategic decision-making through financial modeling, scenario planning, and business analysis. Partner closely with product, commercial, engineering, operations, and finance teams to evaluate opportunities and business performance. Contribute financial insights that support growth, profitability, and investment decisions. Drive Financial Performance Support monthly forecasts, annual operating plans, and long-range planning processes. Analyze financial and operational results to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Prepare reporting and presentations for business leaders and executive stakeholders. Support new product development and investment evaluations through financial analysis and business case development. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or related field. 7+ years of experience preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Proven strong analytical and problem-solving skills Highly motivated, ambitious self-starter that can work with minimal supervision Ability to work well with others and as part of a team Ability to balance high-priority, long-term projects with immediate deadlines in a fast-paced working environment Experienced in navigating ambiguity and establishing new processes PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience supporting connected products, technology, software-enabled products, SaaS, consumer technology, or other innovation-driven businesses. Experience working in a high-growth, transformational, or startup-like environment. Exposure to new product development, commercial finance, or product investment analysis. Experience with Tableau, Power BI, SAP, Oracle, or other business intelligence and financial planning tools. Experience developing reporting, planning, or forecasting processes from the ground up. Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $80,000 USD - $124,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location.
