Exciting Opportunity at MSK At Memorial Sloan Kettering, finance professionals are trusted partners who shape decisions that support patient care, research, operational excellence, and enterprise transformation. The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting Performance Improvement within Financial Operations, with a primary focus on value realization, financial sizing, financial discovery, and enterprise performance improvement initiatives. This role will partner closely with Finance, Operations, and the Transformation Management Office (TMO) to support meaningful organizational improvement. Role Overview Identify, size, and prioritize financial performance improvement opportunities in partnership with clinical, operational, and administrative stakeholders. Develop financial baselines, measurement methodologies, and business cases to support enterprise initiatives and operational improvement efforts. Conduct financial discovery and analysis using data from multiple sources, including general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, budgeting, and operational systems. Support value realization efforts by establishing targets, tracking progress, validating financial impact, and identifying risks to achievement. Partner with Finance, Operations, and the Transformation Management Office (TMO) to support performance improvement initiatives and organizational transformation efforts. Support productivity and labor performance initiatives through financial analysis, benchmarking, and opportunity sizing activities. Create executive-level presentations, dashboards, and reporting tools that communicate value, opportunity, performance, and initiative status to senior leadership. Independently provide financial modeling and analytical support for medium to large projects across the organization while serving as a resource and mentor to junior analysts. Key Qualifications 4-5 years minimum of progressive experience in finance, financial planning, accounting, revenue cycle management, or general analytical related experience. Healthcare or hospital finance experience strongly preferred. Advanced Excel proficiency required; experience with Strata and enterprise financial systems preferred. Demonstrated experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and executive-level reporting. Proven ability to support financial performance improvement, operating budgets, and complex financial initiatives Core Skills Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex financial, operational, and performance metrics. Highly collaborative, with the ability to influence and partner across diverse teams and stakeholders. Self-directed and effective at managing multiple priorities and projects independently. Action-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a dynamic environment. Clear and effective communicator who tailors financial insights to varied audiences. Additional Information Location: Remote / Hybrid with flexibility to come on site as needed. Schedule: Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. Reports To: Director, Financial Operations - Performance Improvement.
