In doing so, Candi aims to have a big social impact, reduce carbon emissions, create jobs, increase energy access, and save money for businesses of all sizes in emerging markets. www.Candi.solar Job Summary: The company is looking to recruit an ambitious and energetic financial Structurer who will help Candi to lead the revolution of solar by focusing on the financial structuring of Open Access/wheeling solar projects in India. Given that Candi is taking solar into a new realm with a new set of tools, the role will require creativity, innovation and a new way of thinking. Specifically, the job involves taking a prominent role in the following: Managing Open Access solar transactions, including negotiation, due diligence, financial modelling, coordinating stakeholders, legal documentation and any aspect requiring attention in order to bring transactions to a successful close Performing financial, structuring and legal analysis on target deals to come up with optimal solutions for Candi and its clients Reviewing and negotiating legal documentation with external parties as required Working closely with Business Development, Risk, Engineering, Finance and Asset Management in order to successfully close these deals Helping to define and execute on a strategy for accelerating the pace and conversion of Open Access projects Refining Candi’s processes and tools (financial models, template legal documentation, etc) for Open Access projects Location: Gurgaon, Mumbai, Mohali, Bangalore or Pune (combined with working from home) Hours: Full time (those wishing to work less than full time will also be considered, depending on experience). Job Requirements: 7+ years of relevant experience in financial and/or legal structuring and/or M&A at a financial institution, corporate, utility or law firm Several years of experience structuring captive / group captive Open Access or utility scale solar projects in India Experience with Open Access regulations, including their commercial and risk considerations An affinity for numbers and quantitative matters, being very comfortable with financial models (i.e. proficient in excel, coding skills are a plus) A solid understanding of financial risks A solid understanding of solar financial products Experience with legal documentation – i.e. an ability to review and negotiate contracts with third parties Being at ease with coordinating and interacting with various stakeholders (internal and external) Being good at juggling multiple transactions and projects at the same time A track record of thriving in a fast-paced environment and an ability to work towards and hit KPIs Being a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit Being very comfortable working in the digital realm, using tools such as Microsoft Office / Google suite and other remote working tools Excellent written and spoken English required, additional languages are a plus A degree in finance, business, law or related qualifying experience Working Culture: You agree to live out the Candi values every day of your employment: Less is more Empathy before ego Authenticity, no matter what Get it done as one A dynamic, cross-functional team player, willing to take initiative on projects in the context of a multicultural scale-up trying to execute big, bold ideas.
