About Equate Media
Equate Media is a growth-focused digital company that builds software and operational systems designed to improve efficiency, support customer engagement, and drive measurable business results. Our teams work closely across engineering, marketing, and operations to solve practical problems, improve workflows, and create systems that make a real impact. We value speed, ownership, adaptability, and people who enjoy building useful things in a fast-moving environment.
About the role
We're hiring a Senior/Lead Full Stack Developer to help build and extend the systems that power our business: internal operations platforms, a modern data warehouse and BI layer, customer-facing web applications, and a growing set of AI-driven internal tools.
This is a fit for someone who is comfortable working across many repos and languages (we run Python, Node.js, PHP, and modern frontends), enjoys debugging real production issues end-to-end, and wants to help shape an AI-augmented operational platform.
Where you'll make an impact
- Own backend services end to end: API, data model, background workers, deployment, and the metrics that prove they work
- Build and refine the internal interfaces on top of them, used daily for campaign management, lead analytics, and call quality review
- Extend the shared platform layer: gateway, auth, permissions, and the published SDKs every service consumes
- Architect AI capabilities into the platform: transcription, call scoring, natural-language querying over the warehouse, LLM-assisted content and lead scoring pipelines
- Work the data layer: orchestrated ELT into the warehouse, BI dashboards, and the semantic modeling that makes self-service analytics answer real questions
- Modernize older services without freezing feature delivery while you do it
- Contribute to architecture decisions and raise execution standards across the team

What we're looking for
- 6+ years as a full stack software engineer with production experience, including time as the senior voice on a team
- Deep in either Python or Node/TypeScript, genuinely capable in the other, and comfortable reading PHP when the work crosses services
- Strong frontend experience with React/Next.js and TypeScript, or strong experience in a modern framework with confidence picking up ours
- Comfortable owning schema design, migrations, er than treating the database as someone else'sproblem
- Proven track record of jumping into existing complex production codebases (not just greenfield)
- Comfortable debugging across the stack (frontease, infrastructure)
- Strong instincts around performance, reliabilintainability
- Comfortable taking ownership and operating independently in a fast-moving environment
- Strong written communication for both synchronous and asynchronous collaboration
Bonus Points For
- Kubernetes and Helm in production, Terraform, or ownership of CI/CD across many repositories
- Building shared libraries or internal SDKs consumed by other teams
- Data warehousing, ELT orchestration, or BI and
- Hands-on experience integrating LLMs into commercial, user-facing applications (latency, cost, evaluation, structured output, agent tooling)
- Speech-to-text and audio processing pipelines
- Telephony, VoIP, or CPaaS providers, real-timehitecture, queues, worker-based services
- Improving legacy systems while continuing to ship new functionality
