Senior Full-Stack Solutions Architect

About the role Join us in shaping the technology backbone of our enterprise platforms, where front-end applications, APIs, data, and cloud infrastructure come together to power business-critical systems. As our Senior Full-Stack Solutions Architect, you'll define target-state architecture, guide modernization efforts, and stay hands-on enough to validate designs, review implementation, and resolve complex production issues. What you'll do Own solution architecture across UI, backend services, APIs/integrations, databases, cloud infrastructure, and security, translating business needs into current-state, transition-state, and target-state designs Design and guide modernization of full-stack applications built on PHP (7/8) with MVC or singleton frameworks, and Vue.js (2 or 3) on the front end Architect and develop RESTful APIs following OpenAPI standards, defining integration, authentication, versioning, and error-handling practices Design data and caching strategies using MongoDB and Redis, including schema design, performance, replication, and backup/restore Design and deploy secure, scalable AWS architectures using EC2 and ECS, with sound networking and IAM practices, containerized via Docker Establish observability, high-availability, and disaster-recovery patterns, and lead investigations into performance, security, and integration issues Mentor engineers, lead design reviews, and communicate architectural decisions clearly to both technical and executive stakeholders What you bring 12+ years in software/platform engineering, including 5+ years leading solution or enterprise architecture Strong hands-on experience with PHP 7/8 using an MVC or singleton framework, plus a modern JavaScript framework - Vue.js 2 or 3 required Proven experience building and integrating RESTful APIs to OpenAPI standards Practical experience with MongoDB and Redis, including performance, replication, and data integrity considerations Core AWS knowledge (EC2, ECS), networking for application deployment, IAM, and Docker/container platforms Ability to produce clear architecture documentation and explain trade-offs, risks, and decisions to technical and nontechnical audiences alike Proven judgment balancing strategic architecture with incremental delivery, legacy constraints, and operational realities Nice to have Agentic AI experience Architecture or cloud certifications (TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect, or equivalent) Experience modernizing monolithic platforms into modular, API-led, containerized, or cloud-native systems Performance testing/capacity engineering experience (e.g., JMeter) Application security or penetration testing exposure (e.g., Burp Suite) All our positions are Remote and are available as Full Time Employment or B2B Contracts
