What we need Crafty Apes and our talented team members have received recognition for outstanding contributions to feature films, and we are looking for a talented Senior FX Artist to join our team in London. The perfect candidate is a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and embraces individuality and creativity. What you would do Collaborate with Supervisors and Production to create high-quality visual effects for assigned shows. Meet all project milestones, adhering to show schedules and production deadlines. Ensure all work integrates seamlessly within the company’s existing pipeline. Produce compelling look-tests based on provided reference materials and creative briefs. Exhibit problem-solving skills and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Demonstrate strong communication skills, effectively taking direction and collaborating with team members and management. What you need Minimum of 5 years of professional experience using Houdini for FX creation, including proficiency with relevant Houdini FX plugins. Knowledge of Embergen is a real plus! Bachelor’s degree in Animation, Arts, Fine Arts, or equivalent professional production experience. Solid understanding and practical experience in one or more of the following areas: Rigid body and particle dynamics, Volume modeling and rendering, Procedural geometry generation,Fluid dynamics Strong foundational understanding of physical dynamics and natural phenomena. Experience with other professional 3D software packages, such as 3ds Max or Maya, is a plus! Scripting proficiency is a plus! Excellent communication skills, with the ability to take precise direction from show leads and supervisors.
