Senior HR Generalist

Hybrid (4 Days Onsite, 1 Day Remote)

Our client, a leading organisation operating within the healthcare and residential services sector, is seeking an experienced Senior HR Generalist to join their growing HR function.

This is a key position supporting the Head of HR and acting as a senior operational HR partner across multiple sites. The successful candidate will play a central role in employee relations, industrial relations, workforce compliance, investigations, HR systems, reporting, and the ongoing development of HR best practice across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities



HR Leadership & Business Partnering

• Serve as a senior point of contact and escalation support within the HR team.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to HR colleagues on complex employee matters.
• Partner with senior management on workforce planning, organisational development, and HR initiatives.
• Deliver practical, commercially focused HR advice to managers across multiple locations.
  
  

Employee Relations & Industrial Relations

• Manage complex employee relations cases from initial assessment through to resolution.
• Lead and support disciplinary, grievance, dignity at work, and performance management processes.
• Conduct and oversee workplace investigations, ensuring procedural fairness and compliance with employment legislation.
• Liaise with external stakeholders including legal advisors and employee representatives where required.
  
  

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure compliance with Irish employment legislation and sector-specific regulatory requirements.
• Support audit readiness and maintain high standards of personnel file management and documentation.
• Oversee pre-employment screening processes, including vetting and professional registration requirements.
• Assist with policy development, review, and implementation.
  
  

HR Systems, Reporting & Analytics

• Support the management and continuous improvement of HR systems and processes.
• Develop and maintain HR metrics, dashboards, and workforce reporting.
• Analyse trends relating to headcount, turnover, absence management, and employee relations activity.
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery across the HR function.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A minimum of 5 years' HR Generalist experience, including significant exposure at a senior level.
• Experience within healthcare, social care, multi-site operations, or another highly regulated environment.
• Strong employee relations and workplace investigation experience.
• Excellent knowledge of Irish employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience managing complex and sensitive employee matters with professionalism and discretion.
• Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
• Proficiency in HR systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
  
  

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification (Level 8 or higher) in Human Resource Management, Employment Law, Business, or a related discipline.
• CIPD qualification or membership is highly desirable.
