Senior HR Specialist (US)

Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior HR Specialist to deliver recruitment and HR operations services to clients and employees across the United States.
This position supports both English-speaking and Mandarin-speaking clients, employees, hiring managers, and internal stakeholders. Professional fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese is therefore required for day-to-day communication, recruitment delivery, employee support, and cross-border HR coordination.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience in US recruitment, employee lifecycle management, and client-facing HR services. This role requires a high level of ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment.
Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition and Recruitment Services
- Deliver end-to-end recruitment services for multiple clients across the US market.
- Partner directly with clients and hiring managers to understand workforce needs, define role requirements, and develop appropriate recruitment strategies.
- Provide recruitment consultation and market insights to English-speaking and Mandarin-speaking clients and stakeholders.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, candidate screening, interview coordination, offer negotiation, pre-employment processes, and onboarding.
- Source candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, employee referrals, professional networks, and other appropriate channels.
- Build and maintain qualified talent pipelines for current and anticipated hiring needs.
- Recruit for technical, sales, corporate, and other professional positions.
- Provide clients with relevant market intelligence, talent availability insights, and hiring recommendations.
- Maintain accurate and timely records in applicant tracking systems and other recruitment platforms.
- Deliver against agreed recruitment timelines and service expectations while maintaining a high level of client and candidate satisfaction.
- Build trusted client relationships through responsive, professional, and consultative recruitment support.
HR Operations
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes in accordance with applicable US employment requirements and internal policies.
- Coordinate offer documentation, employment documentation, employee records, background screening, and HRIS updates.
- Assist with payroll preparation, benefits administration, leave coordination, and employee lifecycle processes.
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee HR-related questions and route complex matters to the appropriate internal or external resource.
- Provide HR support to both English-speaking and Mandarin-speaking employees and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and organized employee records.
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, payroll providers, benefits providers, and other external partners to support effective HR service delivery.
- Assist with cross-border HR coordination involving US operations and international stakeholders.
- Support the development and improvement of HR processes, documentation, and service standards.
- Handle employee and candidate information with discretion and in accordance with applicable privacy and recordkeeping requirements.
Required Qualifications
- At least three years of professional HR experience supporting the US market.
- Strong hands-on experience managing full-cycle recruitment.
- Professional fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese, including spoken and written communication.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, employees, candidates, and internal stakeholders in both English and Mandarin.
- Practical experience supporting employee onboarding, offboarding, HR documentation, employee records, payroll preparation, benefits administration, or related employee lifecycle processes.
- Working knowledge of US employment practices and HR operations.
- Strong candidate sourcing, interviewing, stakeholder management, and client service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, clients, and open positions simultaneously.
- Strong ownership mentality and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, judgment, and follow-through.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- Authorization to work in the United States without violating applicable employment eligibility requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an HR outsourcing, staffing, recruitment agency, Employer of Record, Professional Employer Organization, or other HR services environment.
- Experience supporting international or cross-border HR operations.
- Experience recruiting for technical, sales, corporate, or other professional roles.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, HR information systems, payroll platforms, and related HR technologies.
- Experience using platforms such as Workday, BambooHR, Gusto, ADP, Rippling, or similar systems.
- Experience supporting multiple clients or business units in a service-delivery environment.
